How does crossplay work?

Can ps4 only play ps4 and xb1? or can old gen also play against next gen players? ps4 playing against ps5 and new xbox.

Anyone can play against anyone UNLESS you're using a Created Stadium. Then, you can only match up against nextgen.

One can only hope they did a complete overhaul on their networking code/infrastructure to make this possible. It was due like 5 years ago.

Can you have created stadiums in DD online ranked? If so I wont be buying the game.

You can but if you change the wall dimensions at all it will not let you play with it in ranked.

You should probably watch the video above before writing the game off. Yes, it can be used online but there are restrictions. You are not able to alter the outfield dimensions. If you do, the stadium will not be valid online. Custom stadiums also only work on next gen. Using a custom stadium online means you will only be matched up with PS5 and Xbox Series players. If you don't have a next gen console, then this is all a moo point. It's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.

They were pretty smart in how they did the stadiums for the created stuff. I think that it was a great compromise
