Is there a link as to what the Diamond choice pack players ratings are? I’m not talking OVR, but individual ratings.

I haven’t seen anything yet. I’m thinking of going Pedro and Hank.....but it depends on their individual ratings as I’m sure later on there will be upgraded cards of theirs. No way they are going to give 2 end game cards at release.

I don't think the player's overalls or attributes have been revealed but I would expect the majority of the cards in the Diamond Choice Pack to fall somewhere between an 86-88 OVR. That's what the pre-order diamonds usually are.
But it has been revealed who will be available to pick in the Diamond Choice Pack, there are 10 Legends to choose from and they are all from the "42 Series" of cards:
- Frank Thomas, 1B
- Jackie Robinson, 2B
- Cal Ripken Jr., SS
- Babe Ruth, OF
- Ken Griffey Jr., OF
- Willie Mays, OF
- Hank Aaron, OF
- Pedro Martinez, Starting Pitcher
- Bob Gibson, Starting Pitcher
- Mariano Rivera, Relief Pitcher

Im probably gonna take Pedro for sure. my 2nd one I am tempted to take Hank, but I know it just because of him being new. Realistically I know any 3 of the other OF'ers would be better. Plus with Hank being a righty I can picture him having some kinda swing we dont like lol. Like so many legends do.

I believe Hank only hit cross handed for a season or two in the minors. Don’t think he ever had a cross handed at bat in the majors. I had to look that up though. Interesting bit of history so thanks for bringing it up and let me know if my source is wrong.

Do cards really 100% have a different swing animation or whatever the correct name for it to make it seem like u cant hit with them? Or is this all in your head saying these things. I havent swung a bat in two seasons but i honestly dont remember being able to say i cant hit with a certain card because of there animation or whatever

Yes. Choose Griffey and Ripken out of the choice pack and then sell Ripken back one you notice the difference. It's one of the most important things about a card IMO

It’s also user timing preference. If you tend to swing early, some guys swings can help. And also if you’re late etc. Ripkens swing is slower than most so if your normal timing is early then he’s golden for you to use. You gotta know who you’re at bat with and their swing speed to succeed: so yeah I do think it’s both mentally and their actual swing animation

Agreed. Every hitter has their own tendencies with their swings. If you don’t do well with a player bc of their swing (example Mickey mantle last year for me) then you gotta make adjustments just like in real life and you’ll be fine.

I love Mantle swing I am not a good hitter, Pitching to Mays is pretty easy to get out as well as Tatis Jr most of the time.

Absolutely there are certain card animations I cannot use in the game Manny Machado is one of them. I cannot hit with that card for some reason. Brooks Robinson is another.
