Is there any advice anyone can give me when it comes to hitting sliders? Sliders down and away are by far my biggest weakness because I see them well but end up pulling off of them, and I can never stay on them. Even sliders that are up and down the middle kind of give me a hard time some times. I would say if I can figure out how to time up sliders I would actually go from a good hitter to great hitter. Thank you to anyone who gives me solid advice in advance.

sliders away are hard to read. I am way better with opposite hitters bc I can see a fast ball and curve but when you add in a slider away its hard as shhh

Learn how to sit back. Most new players sell out on the fastball exclusively, which is understandable because if you can't hit a fastball your experience will be miserable. As a result you learn to get so jumpy that you're in front of everything else. Slowing down your swing might be harder than speeding up your bat. It takes time and practice more than anything else. Like you said, it separates the decent hitters from the great hitters to be able to read the pitch, jump on it or sit back for it and adapt accordingly.

The best way to hit the slider is to hit the fastball. Lol jk you’ll get better with more reps and if you can get good at reading the guy you’re playing, you can start to get a feel for when he’s going to throw sliders and you can sit on it better

Maybe switch up your camera? I had trouble with sinkers, and moved from SZ to SZ high. I just was able to pick up the ball better.

well they finally added custom batting practice where you can work on one pitch in one location so don't worry you will learn to hit it this year

. i would say learn to visualize hitting it the way you want to. if you can't visualize it then you won't be able to do it.

watch real life hitters on youtube clappin' it opposite field to get it down visually, once you learn to visualize it your fine motor skills will pick it up.

it will happen over night, you will practice and practise and get no results, then suddenly one day you will wake up and you will know how to hit it.
