Rip 200 packs. Start finishing collections while buying and selling dupes for market spread.
Buy another 50 packs. Rinse repeat dupes.
Wake up Saturday and fill in the blanks. Collection reward unlock. Grab a heater and a cup of Joe.
Regret your $1,500 spent a month later when the collection rewards hit the same as silver cards. Cry to your wife when you can't pay rent, call mom and dad for money.
Sounds like the life! LULZ
No hate though, we love you in the community. You fund the game while everyone else ends up with the same record, same rewards, and same experience for free. Thank you for your donations sir, your homeless children sacrificed a TON for our enjoyment.
Little do you know, $1500 doesn't even dent me. It's okay though to come on a forum and think it's cool to think I'm depriving any aspect of my life financially over a video game.
I probably donate more to charity than you make annually.
Nice try son.

It's okay. I've given away memorabilia to people on these forums for them donating to charity.
I do my part. Personally, you sound a bit jelly.
Take some of your own advice. You say I don't know who you are. You don't know me either pal. Run your mouth though. Suits you well.

Keep doing you, man. There's no right way to enjoy the game. Also, I PM'd you.

Ok, First of all...Why do people come up with the notion that players who choose to spend money on the game are spending their last dollars remaining in their bank account & that this transaction will lead to them being homeless? Don’t you think it’s far more likely that $1500 is just not a big deal to them?
Second...Time is money. If you have 12-15 hours a day to grind & go the NMS path then awesome...Not everyone does. I only get to play 2-3 hours at night. But I love baseball & want to play with the fun cards & am comfortable financially so I spend some money so I can maximize my playing time doing what I enjoy the most which is ranked seasons. Personally I get real bored real quick playing the cpu - That’s just me. I also don’t find it fun working the market. I just want to sit down, Play a couple games with a fun squad before I go to bed.
You do you Lucas but it’s extremely ignorant to come on here and be a condescending [censored] to someone just because they choose to build their team a different way than you built yours. Be better.

So wait.... I shouldn't spend money so you can get stuff for free?
Sorry that you feel so oppressed. Maybe MLB the show isn't the right game for somebody like you where a 48 year old husband and very successful father of two decides to spend a small portion of his disposable income.
Not sure why I'm feeding the troll this morning. There's a severe mental deficiency on the part of the troll and feeding it won't help that big brain grow.
If you are Soooooooo worried about what people do with their money, stop posting and run for office locally. Your first elected position will give you plenty of material to help save the community...

But, when we eat for free at the buffet, it's because you're a dumb F***.
Cr@p. I was really enjoying this thread.

Check out stadium creator, see if it is possible to recreate Riverfront Stadium
Of all the stadiums to re-create, you're going for one of the dirty ashtrays?

Who knows how old or what experiences some of these guys have... Personally I wouldn't spend 1500 on this but I may spend2-300 this year knowing how much play I got out of it last year. In the grand scheme of things 1500 is nothing once you hit a certain point in life. I just dropped 25k on a new AC and sewer pipe for 2 of my rental properties. I'm in the middle of building a new mtn bike which will end up being 6k or so... my wife spent more on face creams and [censored].. This month... So, yeah... they just don't get it yet, hopefully they'll get to the point where they do.
Side note... you mentioned memorabilia... My dad and I collected tons of stuff when I was a kid, we lived fairly close to Cooperstown. cards, bats, jerseys, mantle was a friend of my dad's actually. We had so much stuff, he even lent things to the HOF on occasion. I wish I had some of those things now, my family ended up losing everything and all that stuff went, well who knows where. Met most of the living HOF'ers from the 80's through 90's.
Big reason why I don't collect things today...

The MLBPAA offered me a lifetime membership for a $1500 donation. I jumped on it. I'm given access to the memorabilia direct from them and at a discount up to $2500 off for a calendar year. Considering I get 50% of my MLB TV package because of my membership, it pays for itself after 5 years.
Also, I plan to rent a house in cooperstown this year for a week. Little family outing without worrying about hotels. Looking forward to the visit.

If you've never been there before you'll love it... It's been a while since I've been there but I can't imagine a lot has changed with the town anyway. If you've got kids there are a couple of cool places not too far from there to visit as well, Howe caverns is a pretty cool tour and worth the drive. There were quite a few farms/restaurants/shoppes that may or may not still be in business... Antique places... The Cooperstown bat co. use to have old school baseball games that you could play in.. like big fat wooden bats and softy leather stitched balls...
Plus there's a few cool minor league parks to catch games at a long the way depending on whch way you're heaing there like Binghamton and Oneonta.
