I'm getting MLB The Show for "free" on both ps5 and Xbox Series S. Sweeett..
Thank you Amazon gift cards and Thank you Game Pass. But I'd be highly upset if I spent $100 on ps5 and Xbox got it for free tho lol
It's not free if you pay for game pass. The value of a game on game pass is entirely dependent on how many games you play from that service. But it is never "free"

This is awesome. I’m looking forward to all the rage quitters and my stats not counting.

Yeahh that's why I said "free" too lol
But gamepass was only "$1 for the 3 months" . So I have 1 more month. So I see this as absolute win (insert Hulk Meme) -
Some Playstation owners will be annoyed that they have to pay full price and for ps+ if they want to go online.Xbox get it all with just gamepass ultimate.
I hope Sony San Diego have something upcoming for the loyal fans who have supported this game year on year. Without them where would they be? -

So basically it'll be free for me or technically .00012 cents

They will: profits from Stub purchases.

People seem to forget -- Game Pass is paying for access to games, its NOT ownership. You pay 120 dollars a year but get nothing. If you stop paying tomorrow, next month you can play NOTHING. So the $120 price tag isnt a good analogue for comparison to an individual game price. You have to pay forever or you lose everything.
Not to mention -- Microsoft can take anything they want away, anytime they want to --Thats going to end up being a problem eventually....i guarantee it.
Dont mistake this for a complete dismissal of Game Pass. It has a value. I was in when i got 2 years of Game Pass for one dollar. If Microsoft ever puts out another game worth playing, ill be there, but im not playing "The Show" on Game Pass. I want to own my favorite games. And if im going to buy it, im playing on PS5. I still go back and play NCAA 14 and Tiger Woods 13. I enjoy popping in old version of "The Show". Ownership is a bigger deal than people realize....

I'm paying around $5 a month for ultimate (not the $1 trick) and I'm almost getting that amount back in ms/bing rewards by playing games/doing searches at work. It's a killer value if you find the deals

This seems like a really silly business move by SDS in my opinion. Why would anybody buy the game when you get it on game pass for free? Unless they are super confident all the people playing for free will load up on stubs and they can get their money that way, or maybe they only make it available for like a month and then they get enough people to buy it to keep playing for a discounted price or something.
This seems especially silly considering it used to be a playstation exclusive, and playstation is clearly losing the exclusives battle with xbox.
Because it'll most likely only be on Gamepass for a few weeks or months. Also, Gamepass is twice the price of Xbox Live so not a good deal at all if you don't care about playing other games.
