Not sure if I can post this here or if it needs to go into the Iff Topic part; but here gors'
Need some fantasy advice.
I drafted Ohtani last night. In ESPN you can use him as a DH or an SP. But you have to lock him in at that position for the day/week.
Since the league is a weekly lineup league; if I lock him in at DH; I don't get pitching stats and if I lock him in at SP; I don't get hitting stats.
I'm only allowed to carry 9 SPs (on my starting lineup AND bench combined.
I want to pick up Casey Mize.
.
I can pick him up and still keep Ohtani; but I have to drop one of my bench players (Yaz, Villar, Franco, or Matt Barnes).I already have Hendricks and D. Williams as two if my three allowed RPs. I also have Kopech, who is listed as an SP in ESPN; but may get switched to RP as the White Sox stated they may start him out in the pen. (If they change his designation from SP to RP; I would have to drop him or one of my other ROs, cause we can only have 3 on the roster. 2 starting and one bench or in the P slot (can be SP or RP).
So, who should I drop for Mize; if he is worth picking up? Franco since he probably won't play until the middle of the year? Kopech as if he goes to RP status; I'll lose potential Ks, Wins, and or QS? Or one of my other SPs (DeGron, Snell, Giolito, Ohtani, Tallion, or Alcantara?)

Mize has had a terrible spring... I would not pick him up

Actually, I talked with a few people in a Sports Card/Fantasy Sports FB group I'm in and they explained the same thing. Mize had a terrible spring and his walk ratio is horrible. Plus with Detroit probably playing from behind; his ERA would be atrocious.
I've decided to play Ohtani as a DH and only pitch him on weeks that he has 2 starts.

Ohani fixed your dilemma for you. The guy you want in Detroit is Tarik skubal. He’s not the big rookie name like maze or have the pressure to perform as a top pick, scoop him up for kopech.
