So, pitching huh.

Yeah, f anything, that stream gave me more questions than answers. Also made me wonder if these mechanics (without calling it par) are somewhat in the game now. Is meter better than analog for accuracy now? Is there that much (or more) variation in where a pitch can end up from aim point with good input?

PAR seems to simply be feedback, nothing more. The innovation delivered in that stream is pinpoint.

Take out all rng please. This stream was gross. They showed nothing about hitting, and basically showed how crazy rng is on pitching is even when you get a perfect release.
What you’re suggesting makes sense but at least now we can see the difference between a 99 control and a 70 control and make a decision about which pitcher to use using that information. PAR is a small step in the right direction but the journey isn’t over yet.

Legit, they're basically showing how much wiggle room they have to manipulate the pitch. Covering their butts for later when ppl complain they can reference this BS gray area. @colinsds
He might not see this.

They're justifying the product they put out in 20. The whole stream was based on there "data" they came up with to just justify the trash they put out last year
I can’t believe I am actually agreeing with Tyrus. They didn’t “fix” pitching at all. They simply justified gravity balls.
I also find it very telling that suddenly analog pitching is the LEAST accurate method.
I know those of you who pitch with meter will be happy about this but I urge you to actually consider WHY the method that was previously universally accepted as the MOST accurate, is now the least.
Its not the least, it’s third best, the best version is now the upgraded version of analog (the previous best) and meter remains second best. They also spoke on why meter is second most accurate because it has the highest risk/reward rate when over and under throwing.
Yeah, I watched the stream too. The thing is, I have been playing this game since 2015, so I trust my own experience more than what the promotional streams say.
