Stadiums are very different. The bandwidth to download the art for the stadiums is much more intensive than the what is needed for uniforms and logos so it is very different. Every console already has the uniform models and textures. Custom uniforms is a fairly simple matter of coloring the default uniforms with the proper colors.
Downloading stadium assets for every custom park you play in simply unreasonable. These are not simply painted backdrops but full 3D models and textures.
Not to mention that the PS4 can sometimes still struggle with frame rates in large complex Stadiums. It is why so many online players still choose minor league stadiums for their home. Imagine some of the monstrosities PS5 players will create that they could get to run smoothly that would cause a PS4 to struggle.
I hear what you are saying but having hard time understanding the logic.
I have PGA 2K21 and it has golf course design with objects that can be placed in it i assumed those objects were 3d and you can place then, form terrain,change background there is alot you can do with it and i have it on ps4. I can do alot of things with it.
So when you tell me i cant place 3d objects b/c it's complicated for ps4, and i was already doing it for past 8 months it confused me. I dunno maybe these objects in golf game are not 3d, but i assure you the concept of placing looks the same to me.
So i don't know. Somebody do a search on you tube for crazycanuck PGA2K21 course design placing objects tutorial in thread for reference plz? I am on ps i can't copy n paste link.
The potential issue is that if you match up with an opponent with a custom stadium, you would then need to download that stadium prior to your game. Assuming that the stadium file (or however it is stored) is quite big, this would increase the amount of time the game takes to start.
Existing stadia are already on the system so that’s not an issue for them.
Possibly, but as i stated earlier video only says that the "Stadium Creator" is on next gen. And also in video it says share with "Community" and "Customize." One has to assume when they say community it is including all consoles.
So perhaps the placeable items will be available to everyone even if offline only. You download a stadium and customize how you want for franchise or vs CPU DD.
The 2 little icons in top right indicate that there is a max amount of items that can be placed possibly. PGA 2k has a limit to amount of objects placed.
I dunno just a thought i came up with since it said share with Community i figured that meant any1 could download and customize. In PGA 2K you do not have to download course. So i dunno i'm not trying to argue with any1 just being optimistic.
Sorry I got confused, I thought you were referring to using the stadia in online H2H. Don’t know why I thought that.

There's almost no chance that created stadiums are going to be cleared for online head to head outside of maybe friendlies. Home hunting needs fixed in general though.
