Not here, the tech test forum is gone and so are the surveys

Thanks, I've been searching, I never had the chance to post feedback

The big graphic improvements would likely come in '22, not '21, as there wasn't enough of the new consoles in late '20 and '21 for them to fully optimize the game for them. There is also the global chip shortage slowing down the arrival of more systems, so maybe not a really big graphics boost until '23? Anyway, SDS had to do two big application ports this year, and also cross-play, so they had their hands full this year on the development side. This year they are just laying the foundation and then can optimize the game over the next few years. They deserve big kudos for all the work they did this year, as they had some heavy software development tasks this past year.

Some people won't be satisfied until Fernando Tatis Jr. climbs out of the TV to give them a high five...
NBA 2k21 next version looks substantially better than its last gen counterpart and it had less development time than the show so I’m not buying that
You are aware that 2K is a giant studio/producer, right? SDS isn't that big bro...and the 2K crowd will be paying a lot more for their game. They screw everyone over with microtransactions.

This is what I have been trying to tell people. The game really won’t see a next gen upgrade for a couple of years.

It won't take years, but yes, some time. They couldn't make too many big graphic changes this year because the application port so they could have Xbox/Xbox Series S/X, PS4 and PS5 all available was a lot of work. They also cross-play those platforms, and the new platforms are also hard to get, so just releasing the game on all the platforms had to be their first big win. They couldn't add too many features into the new platforms that were not there on the older platforms or people wouldn't see a reason to play if they didn't have a newer system. Get everyone to play this year, then do another big upgrade this year....and I also expect this year is going to be a ton of fun in a completely different way. I definitely think '21 is worth buying, because I think it will be a big win in it's own way.
Coincidentally, no big graphic updates were needed this year, because there are no gaming monitors, and only 2 TV's that would be worth having right now to play the game on in 4k detail. All the 4k new monitors and TV's worth playing the game on won't be out for another 2 - 9 months, so I agree with the development decisions SDS made for '21.

Not sure what you are talking about but there are plenty of tv’s and monitors that can run this game in 4K/60fps. If you mean monitors with HDMI 2.1 that really won’t apply to this game. This won’t be running at 120fps.

HDMI 2.1 is required for 4k@120fps, which is the max for the new generations of consoles.
The game might not support it this year, but it will eventually. Getting HDMI 2.1 right now makes sense as it makes sure that the TV/monitor can last through the whole lifecycle of the new consoles until they do a console refresh in 4-5 years that has HDMI 2.2/3/4 .... whatever the HDMI standard is then for 8k@120 or 4k@240 or 4k@360. Also for Xbox users Microsoft is up-scaling to 120fps.
https://www.theverge.com/2020/5/28/21272937/microsoft-xbox-series-x-automatic-hdr-support-framerates
Microsoft is up-scaling at the OS level.
There might be a few TV's that support HDMI 2.1 right now, but only one that I found is faster than a gaming monitor, which means there was only one TV for me.

People also need to realize how small SDS is as a development team they had to make this game for multiple consoles this year during a pandemic. If graphics are gonna have a jump it’s going to be a couple years who knows maybe next year will see it be even better once they get used to a new systems.

How are you making this complaint based off a YouTube video that you watched? This place is starting to remind me why I hate forums, you've got people complaining about a game not even out yet. It's like for some people the fun comes in complaining.
SDS is that you?I rarely complain and think the gameplay wasn’t trash in last years game that so many like to over exaggerate on but I’m not going to be a blind sheep either and pump out $70 + without pointing out the obvious. I even defended sds when the horde of next gen tech testers were complaining about graphics telling them it was most likely an old build and the graphics would be substantially improved in the final build....I was wrong
Gameplay was trash in 20 bro. The cats out of the bag. It’s Ike to acknowledge it lol

NBA 2k21 next version looks substantially better than its last gen counterpart and it had less development time than the show so I’m not buying that
I think you are mostly right about NBAs graphics and development time, but I also imagine that NBA has a hella larger budget than MLB considering they have been multiplatform for over 20 years. With all the things that seem to have been added this year with MLBTS and also being multiplatform, I'm hoping they at least double their sales numbers which would allow them to have a larger budget in the future.

I rarely complain but the stadium creator trailer says next gen and the graphics hardly look any different than current gen, disappointing
I doubt you were viewing the video at 4k resolution though ️
I’ll check later on my 4K LG CX oled but I can already tell it looks about the same
I just watched it in 4k on my ps5, it looked better then on my phone.
The graphical assets and lighting is barely any different from last gen period. Resolution is better with 60fps but I could play at 4K on my pro last year just with lower fps
Don't buy it then

Console fanboys, its only gonna get better if it comes to PC. You casual PS5/Xbox guys will be stuck at the same graphical settings for another 5 to 7 years with basically no graphically progression.
Did you take lessons to be such an insufferable d-bag or does it come naturally??
