MOMENTS ARE RIGGED
-
i like the moments on both
-
They were the same last year. Hitting in moments is garbage, and the pitching ones make it to where you can’t locate late in the games or the cpu starts hitting everything .
-
I swear sometimes it's like they program them to make you do it multiple times, just for fun! Same as last year though.
-
Seems pretty bad. Breezed through all of pudges moments until I get to getting 7 hits in 3 games. First try I get down to 1 hit left and I had 3 ABs. Last AB I fly one to left and the OF makes a leaping catch while crashing into the wall. Since then idek how many sliding/diving plays have been made against me. Some coincidence
-
the pitchers throw all balls. I just got walked 3 times in a row by the Shark. How am I supposed to get 3 hits when can't find the strike zone. So stupid.

Weird, I've done all my moments fine, only had trouble on one. Guess they only decided to rig yours.
Oh can it. There is always someone like you in these threads. We got it, you’re a pro. You’re the best the show player there is.
If you don’t think moments have some degree of extra difficulty you either have the observation skills of a blind man or think you’re going to get brownie points from the rest of the people on the forum.
It’s like clockwork with gratification seekers like you.
Sorry for the necro!!

I think the biggest problem with the moments are the mental attitudes of the player in their approach. I believe many are more worried about going through the moments as fast as they can and chase pitches that will not give them the best attempt of the goal of that particular moment. For instance, chasing low outside sinkers when needing a homerun to complete the goal of the moment. Sometimes, you have to take a strike and wait for your pitch. In this case should be a fastball belt high or higher. Best approach is to understand what the goal is, your batters' strengths and swing style, and work the counts to get the pitch you need rather than swinging at every strike. Being impatient and swinging at every strike is a lost opportunity in waiting for the correct pitch and leads to additional attempts at the moment, requires more time to complete the moment, adds to the player's impatience and frustrations, which leads to swinging at bad pitches and into a vicious cycle until they get lucky with the correct pitch early on in the count.

Moments were garbage last year, they are garbage this year, and they'll continue to be garbage for as long as they stubbornly keep them around.
I enjoy single game hitting moments. I hate missions, conquest, showdown, pitching moments and multi game hitting moments with a passion.
-
I'm terrible at this game and I blow by most of them. Git gud.
-
Moments are easier this year than last year, but the computer throws less strikes than they do in conquest or play vs CPU.

While I agree in that being impatient can play a role in the frustration,
MomentsConfirm Restarts, in general, bring dread and frustration before they start. Sure, some can go by quickly, but some are just tedious for no real reason. I like a good challenge, but I don't like ignorance. If they played as they were labeled (Rookie, Veteran, etc.), I'd be fine with it. No chance in Hades it takes people who have played all year 20 AB to hit a HR on Rookie squaring up everything on a power swing. As seemingly everything in this game ties intoMomentsConfirm Restarts, I absolutely have no fun playing them, whether they're quick to complete or not, simply due to the lazy development behind them. I played 'em; I finished 'em; I didn't like 'em. One of the best ideas ever for the game; hands down the absolute worst implementation I've seen in any game mode. -

Pitching moments are easier for me. They can be stressful on the longer ones, because the computer usually gets lucky when you have one out left. That is just part of the game I guess. I’m having a lot of trouble with the Joe Carter moments, but I’m a better pitcher than hitter.
-
I try to be very patient and not swing at the first pitch since it’s usually not the one the moment is looking for.
-
The lack of strikes thrown in hitting moments forces me to swing at basically everything. The bad thing about that approach though is when I play online and feel like I have to swing at everything like it's a moment when it's not. lol
-
I don't really enjoy most moments in general, but let's be real, 95% of them are easy as sh!t. If you can't complete something, chances are it's because your not good at hitting. Every once in a while I'll have an at bat where the pitcher is wild, or the defense makes some spectacular diving play, but the way some people complain I'm thinking they must've gotten a different game than the one I have
-
There seems to be a mistaken idea going around that uf you hate moments its because you're bad at them.
-
I love it when others try to blame everything on something else. You are right it can't just be the user

Joe Carter for me is swinging at pitches middle to low in the zone, even using contact swing worked out for me. Yes it took longer than it should have.
