Will we get online franchise back?????? I hope so
Well TS17 servers are shutting down so Custom Leagues had better have some quality improvements else there will be a few hundred raging players.
When?
August 8.

Welcome!
Some unspoken rules of the game for ya.- no bunt dancing
- no dashboarding
- try to go easy on the pause feature
- Don't throw from left/center field to first base.
- If you get down a couple runs, don't quit. You'll never improve your game.
- don't expect a friendly quit when your down several runs in the middle of the game.
I hope most of you are mature players looking to play straight up and not some cheese fest. We'll see.
Theses aren’t rules, you can do all of these things if you want. That’s the beauty of gaming!
Are these your rules. I would never quit any game if loosing. Its just a game . Explain points 1,2 and 4.
#4 is basically exploiting something in the game that happens on a very rare occasion when the batter is not fast enough to get to 1st (slow animation chosen perhaps) or the animation has him routinely round 1st and is too slow to get back to the bag. Completely out of control of the user.
Here’s an ever rarer occurrence - the CPU making the mistake:
MLB The Show lazy CPU batter tagged out after overrunning first
https://youtu.be/dOFADEU65o0Edit: I just re-read the original post. It said left field not right field. Now I don’t know. Did I just make a rule #7?

Thanks for the sauce. If anything, does that confirm Online Franchise to return to 21? This is an interesting development imo.

How are those rules unspoken?

What it does confirm is that Sony is either forsaking that niche market (the most dedicated in my opinion) or making some promising improvements to Leagues to turn it into a suitable replacement. I suspect option #2. It still won’t yet be a duplicate of what once was however it’s on its way to being a worthy successor.
My reasoning is if the online franchise market wasn’t important to them why would they keep 17 servers active past 2018? They used to shut down servers in the following year.

It’s been over 10 years since I’ve gotten to play The Show on PS2. I’m beyond excited to get back into it.

I’ve never played The Show before, but I have played many other sports games and I understand the dynamics of everything is probably nowhere near comparable. Anyways, is there any tips or videos that anyone could give me to bring me up to speed? Obviously with it not being out yet, I can’t practice hitting or anything. But I’m just super excited!

There are tons! Are you more of a franchise person, a created player career progression type person, or an ultimate team type person? Only asking because it affects suggestions. Welcome back to baseball btw

Yeah I haven’t played since MLB 2k, and I’ve only been able to play ultimate mainly since 2k basketball isn’t really my thing anymore. But I wish Madden’s franchise and really any of the other sports games Xbox has, was more in-depth. I’ve heard a lot about the road to the show! So I’m probably going to spend more time doing that! Franchise is fun too, but mainly my type of thing is ultimate team type and crated player progression!

Agreed mostly but dashboard quitting and bunt dancing should have already been patched.
I think pause time is pretty fair though. -
