Link below in case anyone was interested. A few nuggets of info on improvements for 21.

Cant wait to play the beta only to find the actual game plays nothing like it and all the feedback provided was ignored.
-
Nice to see they're still doing the streams; albeit in a different way.

Im not getting my hopes up. Between COVID and having to build an XBox version, i cant imagine they had much time to create a bunch of new features. Im actually expecting this years game to be roughly the same. The first year on a new console generation is another hurdle....plus they have to make versions for both current and last generation.
This was the worst possible year for them to expand to XBox.
There is a close to zero chance they had time to fix the major issues with last years game, let alone improve much. I expect them to have one or two "new" features to put on the "back of the box" but otherwise, it will be mostly a roster update with a new DD reward path. Thats their money maker so itll be freshened up, but i bet we dont get any new classic uniforms, stadiums, or even much in the way of new legends. Id bet they even cut back on something like their minor league player coverage.
Honestly, until they go to only PS5 and XBox Series X, i dont expect the game to improve much. They arent building new architecture for the older generation consoles, and they cant build anything worthwhile for the new consoles, or it wont run on the old ones.
We are in a holding pattern and you will see that in this years game.

So plays at the wall are a focus, not fielder urgency that gives up extra bases or runs because the outfielders take their time throwing the ball in.

I read something years ago an interview with Ramon and he said that all the features that they put in each year are about 2-3 years out so the features that are inputting this year would have been done in 2018-2019 I think the biggest issue will be the xbox portal I would think that they will have numerous bugs in that version just because it is a completely different programming.
You have not gotten any new classic stadiums since before 2008 only thing that has changed is when teams have gotten new ballparks since then. So in 13 years not one new classic stadium.
One feature I have seen is that the RTTS player will be able to play in RTTS and DD and will be able to earn progress in both modes. Not sure how the progress will level up and transfer to DD or RTTS. That will probably be one of the bigger changes. New Legends I'm sure there will be a big name guy for the collection that will be new but I don't expect it to be as good as Mays or Mantle unless the make it Griffey which not a new legend but I'm sure they will have a big name one to get players since it is on both PS and xbox now.

Agreed. I won't be getting the game this year, perhaps never again. I'll have to see some major changes and improvements to get my interest again.

Tech Test is Playstation-only?
As you can see by my user name icon, I'm on Team Bandicoot. But wouldn't including the X-ers be a more valuable test?

No, if you follow the link in their video there is an option to choose either system, if I remember correctly that is.

No. You can sign-up to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

I'll just add this in case it helps someone. I am switching to Xbox for 21 and wanted to sign up for the Series X Tech Test. It was only giving me an option for PS4 or PS5. I thought maybe the 50k Xbox slots were already taken or something so almost signed up for the PS5 test. Then it occurred to me to sign out of TheShow.com and try the link again. Now I was able to select the PS or Xbox tests. This may have been obvious to everyone but it wasn't for me. So if you're not seeing the option for the Xbox tests, sign out and try again. Cheers!

Will the Xbox versions of the MLBTS 21 have the same release date as their PlayStation counterparts?
-
You guys make it sound like a Xbox port is difficult. Almost all games are on both platforms.

Dumb question, and one that I probably already know the answer to; will the tech test be open to people from other countries?
I mean, if you really want to test the servers, it would make sense.

Look guys - the year 2020 was just plain stupid in terms of the year, not just the game. A lot things sucked! And as much as I have whined and cried in these forums (mostly in the drunken toxic form) about the online play, it's better than nothing at all at the end of the day! I haven't stopped playing this darn thing since last April, like literally and have not burned out yet! Don't just quit playing the game because you can't win. This was my first year of DD and I loved and hated every single second of it. Yeah so the previews look like 2020, the ones posted are only the beginning. Don't hang your cleats just yet! If you are a competitive person, it's going to [censored] you off because you are competitive! Let's wait for the next few previews before saying you won't buy the game. I'm going to pre-order soon because I know I am going to purchase it at some point. Plus the multi-platform option I think is awesome and will indeed increase match ups and decrease wait times for a match.

As long as you own one of the participating consoles, you will have a chance to be selected I'm sure. I doubt it matters which country you are from...it's all part of the test

Not really. They said the same thing last year, and no one outside of North America Could participate.
