I’ve paused mid at bat during long at bats late in a game to warm up a pitcher, didn’t realize this was a no no

Well, as this thread has demonstrated, you can’t really ever know why your opponent is pausing, so maybe it’s not such a big deal after all.

Didn't you just post another thread about having a "step out" option? Are you arguing with yourself?
Yep. I guess there are just a lot of ways players abuse the game to try and get an advantage. This will probably always be the case.
There is a step out out option, it’s called down on the d pad. Batter calls time and steps out!!! Lol

No need to argue that pitching is screwed this year! It's unfair to a certain degree. How the heck do some guys crush everything you throw both out and inside the strike zone??? It makes no sense!

Because they’ve practiced and the game just isn’t that hard

Yeah there are some players that just have really good pci placement. If you are pitching in ways they can get to by slamming the analog all the way down or all the way up, you’re in for a world of hurt.

Ok so I was just in an event game facing Tom Seaver. By the second inning, his energy was in the red. My opponent paused and when he came back, Seaver’s energy was a couple bars of yellow again.
Anyone have an explanation for this? No mound visit was involved, and as I said his energy increased, not confidence...

I have a dog and he still chew stuff he shouldn’t. When my wife is not around I pause from time to time to get to him... not everybody that pauses is trying to cheese bud.

Yes, agreed, as I said above. You never know why someone is pausing.
That said, I’ve never seen a pitcher’s energy go from red back to yellow. Have you?

My sister’s puppy ate about 20 laxatives a few weeks ago. Thankfully they found out and got it to the vet to induce vomiting before it became too messy.
Nobody playing the show in that story, just dogs eating things.

I mean pitching is definitely messed up but your example doesn't prove that. There are guys who are literally just that good at hitting in this game.

No, but I hope I can see mine improve like that going forward

Yes man, my dog swallowed an open safety pin a few months back and an emergency surgery was required to save his life. Ever since that happened, everytime I see him running to his bed with something in his mouth I drop whatever I’m doing unless my wife yells she gave him something to eat or play, it causes me to pause a lot because he is young, curious and full of energy.

I just had a game in the 15th the guy brought in Lament, was low yellow. He threw 1 pitch, paused (as he did every other pitch, pitching or hitting) and Lamet was full energy

Oh God, they found another way to break the game.

Okay buddy! Keep telling yourself that.
Keep telling myself what? There are people in this game that can hit literally every pitch you throw on legend, never mind on lower difficulties, have you ever watched some of the truly great players at this game play?

We are talking about pitches thrown completely out of the strike zone in random spots where the PCI does not even reach. No one out there can predict where you are throwing your pitches and what pitch you are throwing every single time with good/perfect timing! If what you are saying is true, why isn't that said person undefeated with a 1,000 - 0 win record? No, but they have records of 187-120. If you are that good, how the hell do you lose that many games?? Just like when low diamonds destroy prestige level pitching; the RNG doesn't add up! You square up on pitches with good swing timing every time and get constant pop outs and fly outs, all while the other guy is very early, just late, and crushing the pitches throw completely out of their range. It's not logical at all.
