Anyone excited about Leather Part 2

But I'm sure that you or someone else will tell be the whole purpose of events is for prestiging and no hitter other than Ortiz, Thome, Frank, and Killebrew are prestigable so I'm not going to bother

Actually the contrary, I play events for the card rewards primarily as well as to be able to play short games that aren’t as stressful as RS.
I would be fine with using all 65 and less fielders if that was the hard line , and I think any card prestiged is cool.
But no way the you can compete doing that when you toss Finest in, so it makes the theme of the event pointless, as was the point of the thread.
So before you make another post about being sure what I would say, give it another thought.

I would really enjoy this if they didn’t include any finest can be used. Just have the bad fielding be the end all be all. Would be nice for a change to hit one in the gap and actually drop due to a bad reaction on the ball. Or maybe get through the infield and not stopped by a highlight dive and throw.
It have more of a little league feel with guys kicking the ball around. Is it SDSs goal that we prestige every Finest card?

You captured it well. If you are going to have a theme, make us use the theme...great defense in part one, horrible defense with likely great hitters in part two...by continuing to include Finest,etc. it just makes the theme irrelevant...
The “Let the kids play” event was another example....Barely saw a FS or prospect on the field, all Finest cards again...

I like to think of church league softball with this event.

I'm excited for this event to prestige finest/Thome/some pitchers I'm close to done with, but omg is building a lineup with a 97 ovr a pain!

Oh I agree but there are a few of us needs who don't need the wins and are just prestiging cards that we have left.
I doubt I will get to Konerko this go around but should finish Thome soon and possibly Frank. At least get started on Bichette and Killebrew.
I know in previous events folks have posted lists of each prestigeable card that can be used in the current event. I didn't want anyone to overlook playing Killebrew in LF instead of Soto, that's all.

They are listed as secondaries, but can they REALLY play LF and 3B? I wouldn’t recommend it.

I truly gave up on the last event .... this event makes me want to play online again as I been saying hoping they could do where you choose your level for events and that determines your rewards

I played a few games last night for the hell of it. 2 common starters, one common reliever, and a bench of low diamond and gold pinch hitters that are super effective against one handedness (ex. Rookie Ryan Braun) got me 99's everywhere else.
It's definitely a pain if you get eliminated and have to put everyone back in though. I really wish there was a solution to that since it takes a minute or two to get up and running again each time.

I just want to prestige one of my players. I havent been able to do any of the prestige paths cause I dont play online that much
