Connection Speeds

Can anyone answer me definitively about how connection speeds impact ranked games?
I’m not sure if it is that or just the pitcher confidence BS which makes some of my games (even home games at minor league parks) seem downright unwinnable.
Granted, my last game, I crept back into a game I was down 5-0 vs Herschiser via four solo home runs (my only hits of the game), but from pitch one, it felt that there was NO chance of winning at all.
Mystery #1: about 75-80% of the time, when I would begin my windup to deliver a pitch (analog) there would be a second or two delay before the ball would start moving down. It made timing VERY challenging.
Mystery #2: quite frequently I would completely miss a pitch I was looking for and feel like the ball was going through my bat while I swing underwater.
Mystery #3: my fielders turned hits into triples at least once due to not moving when I asked them to with controller.
Mystery #4: occasionally the swings or pitches felt normal only to get all laggy again a few moments later.
Is this just poor connection quality? Is it the game math telling me I’m not hitting Herschiser right now because he is super confident? Is my controller needing replacement?
I tip my cap to my last opponent but I feel like I was fighting the game more than I was fighting him.

It works like this - home advantage a scrub 2 time WS player can no hit Pitching Rebel and I can lose to a first time pick up and play it's FN awful !

So you’re confirming that this is what, connection speed, or just coding favouring the weaker team, or?

I mean we all know connection has an effect on the game, but it's impossible to pinpoint how much it is from that and how much is something else. We don't have data to point to in order to prove anything

All I can say is Mystery #1 is opposing player holding R2 to mess up your timing.

Is there anything to do to combat this? Also I think it is r3

In short. Connection is everything. Connection Speed is nothing.

You know, I thought that only happened when pitching with pulse. Dang.
