I'd just like to sim a season and see how my best squad would do and what their numbers would be like.

online play killed seasons for me. My first Ultimate team experience was Madden last year and it killed seasons/franchise for me. And this is coming from a guy who used to play 10-15 year seasons with one game. I dont know if thats good or bad but I dont feel fulfilled or rewarded playing that much offline. I love conquests and things like that but entire seasons now seems unrewarding if that makes sense

The game needs to bring DD and season-based mode players together instead of segregating them which unfortunately has happened. As a result, season-based modes (Franchise, RTTS and Season mode RIP) have lost momentum*.
Your idea is a great way to turn this around and help make season-based modes great again.
*MTO is the only exception to this, but it suffers from DD-influenced gameplay.

It would be cool if you could use your DD team and face the “best” squad from each team. Would be a cool way to see other cards on teams that you may not use.

For years since 2006 I bought this game to play season mode until about 2012 or 2013 then I went to online HR derby to RTTS to DD. Loved that through 2017. Last 3 years not too happy with game play.

I think it would need to be on Legend. I play all of my Conquest games on Legend as the D squads are so overpowering to normal teams. If playing anything less, it’s just arcade baseball, which is fine if you want to see silly stats, I suppose.

One option in current DD is to replay the Ruth program but that is limited to the Moments engine and All-Star difficulty. There are also Extra Innings games.
Now that the majority of cards are out, SDS could create top lineups for every team and make them available for vs CPU play in Extra Innings. This wouldn't be too difficult for SDS to put together if they wanted to. But I'm afraid the SDS staff is too busy playing Madden!!!!!
