His not being in the HOF has strictly to do with some of his statements.

I disagree with McGwire. While Bonds, Sosa, Manny, and Arod(who, like Bonds had a separate HOF case pre-roids) simply had their games elevated by the juice, I personally think McGwire would have been a nobody without the juice. He is a career .260 hitter who didn't even walk that much. His career OPS is only high because of his slugging percentage, which is a result of the juice
-
Rafael Palmeiro would he get in with out the Roids.
-
I believe Pete Rose should be in the HoF, and have been on a committee that argues for that case in the past.
I also believe - given the information we have - that Joe Jackson should probably as well be in.
-
Of those eligible:
Bonds
Clemens
Schilling
Whitaker
Palmeiro
MannyVeteran's Committee:
Sheffield
HeltonRose/Jackson:
They can buy a ticket like everyone else. Forever. -

I don't know about that. He broke the rookie home run record without roids and won RoY. I agree that his career wouldn't have been nearly the same but it doesn't seem that hard to get into the HoF anymore which is a shame. It's become the Hall of Very Good, imo.

I Think its still very hard to get into the HOF. If you are referring to Harold Baines, he got in because he had 3 teammates on the veterans committee that voted him in. Thats it. The MLB HOF is still by far the hardest HOF to get into among the 4 major sports and the only one that keeps players out based off of character ( there are other steroid users in the hall yet the best two players that used steroids are not, Schilling is left out because of his Media hate/political views etc. You can't claim it has "become" the Hall of very good when it has been ever since Ozzie Smith has been elected, when for some reason Andrew Jones has not been

Career WAR:
Ozzie: 76.9
Andruw: 62.7 -

Yeah. You're right. It definitely is the hardest HOF to get into out of the four major sports. I guess I didn't mean it has become the Hall of Very Good... I just feel that HOF's in general should be more selective. Well see if Andrew Jones will get in. Andrelton Simmons also could have a shot if they gave defense more credit when it comes to selections.

I guess you are all too young to remember that everyone knew those guys were on PED's baseball even encouraged it to save their dying sport. Mark and Sammy's homerun race brought the fans back, then about 5 years after MLB decided to act like they didn't know and turned their collective back on these guys.
The truth hurts, and the MLB will always be a bunch of hypocrites.
