Theme Teams

Do you play someone in theme team that used to be in that team if they're on a different team now?
IE: Finest Mookie on a Red Sox theme team or LS Cole on a Pirates theme team?
-
Yes , the best card of any player from that team.
-
I don't. My Red Sox team has players ONLY in Red Sox uniforms. Which I know makes ZERO sense because they're wearing my DD uniforms anyway when I play. It just bugs me for some reason.

When I play with my all-time Dodgers, I play with any players that played for the Dodgers at any time. But sometimes I play with current Dodgers, which is anyone currently with the Dodgers. But I use their best card regardless of team, such as Trienan's A's card,

Since MLB came out with their 2020 All MLB team, I created that as a theme team.

To me a theme team needs to be that player's card being on that team. Any other way to me is not real. As a Giants fan, I could use guys like Orel Hersheiser or Andrew McCutchen but Orel has a 99 card and Andrew a 97 card and both of those players definitely were not that version while they were with the Giants. A guy like Rogers Hornsby has a 91 card and a 99 card, with his 91 card being the one from his one year with the Giants, so I use his 91 card on my theme team because it makes no sense to me to use a Cardinals Rogers Hornsby, even if it's a higher rated card, when there is literally a Giants version of him in the game. The funniest thing is when someone uses a card that is a 95 or up on a theme team when that player played like 40 games with that team at the beginning or end of their career. At the end of the day it may be easy for me to feel this way because you can literally have a stacked team using only Giants cards from the starters to the bench to the starting rotation. Only part lacking is the bullpen and even there you have good Robb Nen and Sergio Romo Giants cards.

I use 99 Miller on my cardinal's team but he is the only non-Cardinal on the team.
