Discipline, walks and pitch location

Does discipline affect pitch location for getting walks ? Maybe that’s why so many of you have troubles locating pitches despite of a pitcher high control attribute ?

I believe clutch is what affects what you mentioned. Tight situations and clutch rolls a 20, bam hanger right down Broadway hit for a long dong.

Agreed, there is nothing more infurating than a person check swinging all the time until you hang a pitch to be send to jupiter.

I’d add to this and say it’s even more infuriating when you dot the corner with a two strike pitch they get a check swing and it’s still a ball then hang one to be sent to Jupiter

Depends on how you define a check swing bandit. Everyone gets fooled from time to time but if you’re doing it 30+ times a game your approach and pitch recognition are bad and you’re using it as a crutch
For me the check swing issue is exacerbated by the fact that the game randomly decides to groove pitches despite good input and also the fact that sds has decided to include inconsistent umpiring, which in my opinion is one of the worst things about Major League Baseball right now

I hit a corner with cutter with Mariano Rivera that wasn’t call for a strike, next pitch I gave up a HR to Acuña that ended up costing me the game, the PCI rating for that HR was 6. It’s been a week and I still can’t believe it.
