Agent Rachel Luba suggested on Twitter that Bauer is down to two teams, though she didn’t name the clubs.
It sounds like it is the Mets and Dodgers. -

While I would have liked him to stay on the Cardinals it seems like the 12.5 million club option would have been paying him a premium.
In the long run if the team declining that option allows the club to resign Waino and Yadi then that was a worthy tradeoff.
-
The White Sox have agreed to a minor league contract with veteran catcher Jonathan Lucroy, giving them another option behind Yasmani Grandal.
-
Mets' offer is 3 years, believed to be close to $100M. Ed Coleman of WFAN660 reported 3 years, about $90M. Offer is even a bit higher. Opt-out likely after 1, as Ed said. (Jon Heyman)

Cardinals seem determined to give all of their young outfielders a chance to play, which is a good thing. Fowler probably waived his no trade for the chance to play with Trout and Rendon and to be reunited with Joe Maddon.

The Rays' Ji-Man Choi was the only one to win his arbitration hearing out of the three verdicts Friday, with the Mets' J.D. Davis and the Orioles' Anthony Santander losing their cases.
-
Bauer, a California guy, is headed to the Dodgers. He picks LA over the Mets.
-
Rockies just lost 3 more games. We've now been swept by the Dodgers in 2021.
-
Trevor Bauer gets $102M for 3 years from Dodgers, per source. He has opt outs after each of the first two years; $40M in 2021, $45M in 2022. He'll be the highest-paid player in MLB history in '21, then again in '22.

Feel free to get mad at me, but: This is atrocious that he is getting more than MIKE TROUT!!!!!

Worth it imo. Bauer gets to take a paintball gun to the nads for not signing a 1 year deal.

One year ago yesterday, the Dodgers got Mookie Betts and David Price. The Dodgers love these two days of the year.
