Is gold on gold HOF the magic formula?
-
I could be premature but my first game of the new event with gold players on HOF played quite well. Maybe the problems come more from the over 100 attribute cards?

Interesting theory. What was your lineup and starters.
Could also be because we are not use to facing those guys. Somebody killed with LS Betances. I use to kill him.

My lineup was:
Dee Gordon
Trammell
Verdugo
McGriff
Minoso
Brett
Griffey Sr.
Santiago
Porcello -
have just finished 3 games and I think you could be right. seems like its playing smoother too. just hate the gold cards fielding quite a few errors already

The lower speed/fielding on most cards is why hits are actually landing. It’s nice not having Ichiro, Mays, And Gwynn tracking down every fly ball to the gap. I’ll take a few BS errors if it means some of the squared up hits might actually hit the grass.

feels great i hope SDS keeps an eye on the feedback here

fair enough cant have everything. I'm impressed with the hitting right now. smaller PCI smaller timing windows. good goods are still leaving the park or hitting gaps. late ok is an out. definitely take errors for the better overall game play

It just feels good playing with cards & players that were stopped being used for a long while now. Also because there are so many Gold cards to choose from & as well players that has secondary positions with good defensive attributes. It really has everyone putting different & unique teams out on the field. I played 12 Event games so far since it opened earlier. Only 5 games I saw someone using 1 of the same position players as me with the starting line-up & only 2 times I seen someone using 2 of the same as I had with the line up. Most events the options are so freaking limited that everyone is using all the same guys & it gets so boring so quickly. Even in RS it gets boring seeing the same guys over & over & over. Which just gave me a thought for a new post. Let me get all my thoughts together on it & I will start a thread on it soon enough.

Infield animations are killing me. Think this will really be exploited this event. For example , Trea Turner scoring from 2nd on a routine groundout to 2B - Alomar. Had it properly queued and Alonso took his time throwing to the plate. Think I will rethink my lineup and fill it with speed guys..

I actually felt like the event was playing horrifically yesterday. Lots of lineouts, which I'm not actually too upset about it, but the pitching felt incredibly off. I was streaming for a bit and cut it short because of how awful it played, honestly. I'm hoping things change today.

I am actually quite enjoying this event. Gives a more even playing field i feel like.

Curious. What time were you streaming?

You know, my overall conclusion is that, ultimately, it is the way some of us play this game which makes it so painful at times.
I do agree with you though in that I have had so many more line-outs today. I’ve had a couple go into extras despite plenty of well hit bawls.
I guess it’s the same old song.
