I'm a bit of a scientific numbers nerd, and am trying to figure out how to work out PCI size and try to figure out what affects it - such as quirks (I'm bored at work). I want to take screenshots of swings and use the result in the bottom left to actually measure the area of the PCI. What should I all take into account?

Active quirks for both hitter and pitcher
    Hitter contact and vision
    Pitcher H/9 and K/9?
    Inning
Count (in case it activates a quirk)

Anything else? Power? Any other pitcher attributes I should try investigate?

Pitcher/hitter clutch might have an effect

I’ve done this sans quirks. I believe I made a post about it with link to a photo album. I will go look for it and edit in the link to the post.

As for the quirks, CBrev made a great video last night addressing them: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qOuB57-LQP8

Edit: here’s the thread: https://forums.theshownation.com/topic/16863/vision-as-a-timing-handicap/8?_=1605206216063 My post is the 8th, with a photo album comparing PCI size for contact, vision, power, h/9, k/9, and hr/9. Did not test clutch or (active) quirks although they are confirmed to affect PCI size.

I was wondering that too... that would be harder to test though. What would be considered a clutch situation? Anytime the controller vibrates?

I saw cbrev's video and that prompted me to actually try this (been thinking about it for a while). I want to actually measure pixels on the screenshot from the game...

@inigomontoya_75 gotcha! I will be interested to hear the results! So you’re trying to essentially determine how many bonus contact points the quirks give?

That's what's driving my madness, yes. I was thinking percentages, but translating that into an actual contact point value is a great idea.

I'm also keen to see what you come up with here. It'd be awesome if the end result here is that "x" quirk increases the inner or outer pci by "y" %

Sweet yeah let me know what you find out. I’m trying to factor in active quirks to my excel custom overalls sheet before I share it here. Knowing this info would be a huge help

I actually just saw that myself and it peaked my interest. I've never paid attention to quirks, but I guess they actually give somewhat of boost. Definitely looking forward to your results.

I remember when you did a podcast episode about that. 🙂
