How did Max Fried not go Diamond??

    7-0, 2.25era, 1.09whip, threw a 7 inning gem against the Reds in the wild card round, went 6 innings with 9 k’s against the World Series champs... what else could he have possibly done this season?

    I think the injury for a brief time is their reason

    I think because he wasn't ready for prime time against the Dodgers. They seem to have weighed the postseason in the upgrades, which is why Arozarena went diamond, and Fried kinda folded in the postseason. Or at least enough to not give him the bump.

    Edit: before the statsheads jump on my neck, he wasn't terrible. But he didn't close the series out. I know that's also on the offense, but I guarantee that if he did close it out he would be a diamond.

    I agree completely, but with him being an 83 already I kind of expected what he did to be enough. Almost every pitcher around him statistically is a high diamond by now.
