Honus vs Foxx

Not sure if the Honus is more-or-less the same card as from 19 but that was definitely one of my best hitters last year, and he played some solid D at SS. Foxx is a beast but his defense is sketchy. I will have both on my lineup for the rest of the year.

I picked Foxx for my 300 star reward. I quickly discovered that is defense is atrocious. I hit ok with him (only about 50 ab’s). Honestly I couldn’t believe how bad he was defensively a 1b, and 3b.
I picked up Honus and, kenley for the Griffey program. Honus plays amazing defense, but his bat has been quiet for me. I honestly thought he would be a right handed Cobb. I only have about 10 ab’s, so maybe I’m pushing it to hard? What are your experiences with these 2?
I have Foxx at third and his defense has been solid. Took a while for the bat to get going but it’s starting to come around now. As for Wagner, I used him a little bit but didn’t feel like I was hitting well with him. Was surprised to find out that I had a .326 average with him though.

Foxx is easily one of the best hitters in the game, imo. I find what he lacks defensively, he more than makes up for offensively.
Honus has been frustrating for me. I, too, thought he would be a right handed Cobb. He is not. I'm hitting decent with him, but he has been nowhere near Cobb level. Once Morgan drops, they are going to be platooning at 2B. Morgan vs. RHP and Honus vs. LHP.

I stuck Foxx at catcher and am shocked at how well he's done. I have Wagner usually starting at short with Tatis at 3rd and if there's a lefty I swap in J-Ram at 3rd and move Tatis to short. Off the bench he's great, and between him and Cobb you basically cover the whole field and have 2 great contact and speed guys at the ready.

Personally ditching Foxx because Yasmani Grandal has been simply outstanding for me. I've been playing all three of the bosses and have been doing the worst with Foxx hitting wise although zero problems on defense at 3b.

I agree with most of the comments about Foxx. His defense hasn’t been an issue for me and he’s been great hitting. Honus has been great hitting for me as well. The comparison to Cobb seems about right for me at least.

I have both Foxx is my catcher gets it done most of the time, his hitting is clutch in the middle of my line up especially when Ruth gets intentionally walked he mashes like there is a glitch how dare you . Honus comes off the bench vs leftys only has a 20 or so abs little sample size but has been a extra base hitting machine so far.

I picked Honus at 300 because he fit my needs best at the time. I would have picked Foxx to catch if I didn’t get to play against guys that had him there. I don’t know how people pitch with him behind the dish it’s so easy to hang breaking balls in this game I can’t imagine how hard it is to change speeds when your options are hang a meatball over the plate or give a free base to every baserunner including the batter if you got him to chase .Now I have all three bosses Honus at 2nd and Foxx at 3rd. Foxx is the best bat I’ve ever played with in this game and his d at third is serviceable. He’s not saving any runs but he gets the ones hit right to him at least. Honus is solid all around he has been my lead off hitter and he performs as expected in that role . Lots of singles, stolen bases, runs, with solid defense.

Again I haven’t been able to play much. I am going to try and flip the lineup around a bit to see if that helps

I rode Foxx at catcher to World Series. Only minor issues if you run into a speed team, but I have CAP on the bench for that time. I'd stick him there and use the bat.

Foxx is sucking a big fat orange for me. I should've taken Honus or Hornsby. FML
