So I know that the Prestige card gives anywhere from probably a 2-4 overall increase. For example: Helton goes from a 91 to a 94 and gets +3 on all attributes. I know I saw a lot of people saying, "are we not getting any 99 overall Bosses then..."
Personally, I think by June and July we will have those Bosses being anywhere from a 97-99 but then have a prestige diamond for each where it will obviously still say 99 diamond but diamond will turn RED and each attribute gets a +3.

Going to be hard to justify those late-Inning bosses not being 99s.

    Possibility of cards hitting 100?

Maybe that’s why SDS felt the need to give these cards a red diamond, as a way of distinguishing regular 99s from prestige 99s later on.

One thing that occurred to me in the stream with the prestige (and evolution) programs is that there is a stage 1 and stage 2. I think new stages will be added later in the year to get the best version of these cards (a bit like the team affinity programs). Especially for the evolution cards I don't believe 91 pudge rodriguez or 92 eddie mathews is the endpoint, meaning that we will see (a) new stage(s) later in the year. This could be the same for the bosses (i.e. Helton 91->94->98). I wouldn't be against playing a little bit with each boss card before getting their max overall (98/99) card, as long as it isn't a long vs cpu grind and the missions can be done in 20 or so games (and less for pitchers).

Personally, I’m only going to grind switch hitters and pitchers into blood diamonds. The opportunity cost of selling versus locking in the cards make me hesitant. Switch hitters can always find a place on my bench when the squad outgrows them. Since I spend 1/2 the game on the mound, mixing up the rotation is the best way to keep my team and gameplay experience from becoming stale.

I am a Rockies fan. Todd Helton is one of my all time favorite players. There will be better 1b options as the season goes on and the blood diamond card may not be the last version of him we find.

They could just be beefier 99s. I mean it's not like they HAVE to have 125 at any particular stat

Are you saying that the initial mission for Pudge, for example, may be getting him to only 91, but that SDS will likely release subsequent missions after the 91 program allowing for additional increases?

That would make sense. Definitely on board with it.

It's just speculation, they didn't say anything remotely close to this in the stream. But I think it make more sense this way then randomly releasing a 99 version of pudge/eddie/(any boss) in november.

Did they say all inning rewards will have the prestige option? If so, maybe the prestige would add a quirk instead of overall points.
