26th Man
-
Sorry if this has been asked/answered. Been disconnected since December and haven't kept up with streams etc... Has the impact of having the 26th man on the roster been addressed? Will it be an extra bat, arm in pen or user option?

Pretty sure in BR the roster is still 25 man which is interesting to me.

They said 2 Diamonds, 3 Golds, 9 Silvers, 9 Bronzes and 2 Commons. So that's 25 indeed (see saturdays livestream starting at 1:09:50)

It would be pretty strange for them to include the 3 batter minimum and not the 26 man roster to BR/RS/etc.

Thanks for that. My question is geared more towards RS than BR even though like the previous reply says, It would be weird for it to be implemented in one and not the other.

Sorry, I thought I read BR in the question. Judging by the lineup screen shown at 1:05:38 in the last stream I'd say no, as there are still the usual 8 starters + 5 bench players and 5 starting pitchers + 7 relievers. Pretty weird actually as they have implemented some other rule changes.

I looked at the stream again and paused at the section where it showed the rotation of a RS squad (when they were talking about doing away with pitcher roulette). Still shows 5 SP and 7 RP.
There is definitely a DH spot on the lineup screen, so that will account for something...but with a DH there will be significantly less need to pinch hit for most games.
