Billy Wagner buy orders

Why wouldn’t they put in two orders for 500k? A million stub order if it gets filled is worth 900k max. Two 500k orders will never get filled and will still be worth a million.

Your assumptions are for 1- people you know and 2- people on TSN.
Less than 5% of the game population has over 1m stubs. I'd bet it's less than 1%.
If you have 4,950,000 stubs, you bury buy orders in for 1,000,000 for cards not available. It's been happening for years, no matter the cap.
I feel bad for anyone that wants a Wagner card now. They'll never see one until January.
I'll say it again for the people in the back; you're reaching. Prove it or shut it.
Same can be said to you. You don't work for SDS and don't have meta data to prove YOUR point.
I knew you would resort to that point, because that's what everyone does when things get tough. That's not how things work though, YOU make a claim, YOU provide evidence to back up your claim and prove you're right. Me being unable to prove the opposite does not make you right. You learn this in pre school, or at least I did.
Doesn't make him wrong either...this response sounds pre-school

This guy gets it. Its very simple

regardless of skill level.
I resemble that remark... I'm average at best and have been carrying over 1m since I earned Mantle.

I paid 1m for Wags the first week he was out and don't regret it. Had over 3m stubs with nothing to spend it on and just grabbed him. At this point in the game cycle he's the elite card worth buying if you have excess. He's the ultimate "I'm rich" Flex coming out of the pen.
Some may be stub transfers but im not shocked theres that many buy orders, RIB packs are going to inflate the market.

Like I said earlier, the same thing happened with Bryce Harper in 17. Everyone had the stubs, everyone wanted him but he was never available. I think I sold like 10 of them when I went on a BR tear and made so many stubs it was actually ridiculous. Same thing is happening here, nothing shady going on at all. But it's more exciting to reach for some nonsense and tinfoil hat theories.

It’s all impossible to prove without someone saying “I do this, here’s evidence” but we can use logic. It would be like if a team was batting .282 in 2017 but this year only batted .241 with the same core group of players and we called them cheaters. The numbers are suspect but you’d need a player to step forward and admit to wrongdoing before you knew for sure.
-
It’s simple. supply and demand. Same thing for the Postseason gold cards, just a smaller scale.
If someone has hit a stub cap, they just place buy orders and leave them, and certainly not for a price where the order would get filled and lose the stubs. I use Casey Mize and Billy Wagner as my “stub bank” all the time. No transfers involved.
-
The One million buy orders are different people and legit people ( 90+ certainly). The ones under 1 million would be stub bank orders. So much stubs in the market. I’m way below average player and I have Wagner and a bunch of other expensive cards just because I can. So easy to make stubs. A lot of millionaires this year.
But hey , believe the tin foil conspiracy. You are not alone ... Trump being president is proof people will believe anything
-
I have every top card in the game, just shy of 5 M stubs active, and access to another couple million if I was to need them.....like people said, it’s easy to get stubs......those 1 million stub orders are people that want Wagner, the ones underneath that amount (like 25 -500k orders)/ probably not...

I proved my point on stub transfers happening everytime a new BR card hits the market. There's always a page or two of a buy and sell with the same time stamp, 15 different times in a row, within an hour.
If there are 39 people wanting a 1m lefty upgrade to the card they already have, more power to them. It's not a supply and demand thing. On the 20th and 21st, many orders filled below a million.

You know why that is? Because people with 11-0 runs will hold off with the 12th game because they know a new card(s) will be released. Which means more stubs. Did that all the time last year, and so all those guys who have an 11-0 run active and win their 12th game right after the cards go live, they will be on the market.

Alomar was there too dude.
I know guys hold. But when there are zero orders to buy at a million and then magically a 1m buy and sell, it's a transfer. I would know. I was watching Wagner real time since the card dropped.

Just an old screenshot from one page I took back in August.

That still proves nothing. A buddy of mine who's active on this forum as well paid 1M for Alomar, admitting he knew was overpaying way too much but he didn't care because he's a big Alomar fan and he has stubs to burn like everyone else.

I overpaid for Wagner too.
Stub transfers happen on BR cards at launch. If you don't believe that, you're more stubborn than anybody I've ever seen on these forums.

I never made that statement though, that's a conclusion you drew because I opposed your theory that this is happening with Wagner.

I'm done arguing with you.
You add value to most things on TSN, but when you dig in your heels, your stuck up european attitude turns me off.
Enjoy your day. I'm Audi 5000.

That's because I have an allergy to baseless speculation. Happens too much in the world already and it causes damage. Maybe not around here, because all this doesn't mean a thing, but it's a matter of principle. If you want to point out my European background for that, that's fine. I'd say its because I'm a stand up kind of guy who values factual insights over hearsay and speculative theories.
Good day to you as well.

This is NOT happening for Wagner lol it’s sooo easy to make stubs and ppl have MILLIONS of stubs so why wouldn’t you buy the best lefty reliever on the market.. I had a buy order in for Wagner when there was 10 orders up and it just kept rising and took like 5 days to go through.. ppl just have the stubs to spend so why wouldn’t you buy him?
-
There haven't been any worthwhile cards released on the market in a while, really the last one being the 8th inning bosses, combine that with how many stubs are floating out there, and I can easily see that many people putting in an order to get Wagner.
It's incredibly easy to make stubs, and so many YouTubers do market videos or investments stuff, that many people are getting smarter with stubs. Being a stub millionaire isn't as impressive this year, (I have 4.3m stubs + guys like Wagner and Alomar myself). So I would bet you are underestimating the amount of people who are both 1. interested in Wagner and 2. have the stubs to buy
I bought Wagner on release day for 825k and would never think of selling him, best LHP by far I've used.
