Also, didn’t lil Jane 300 lose a wager that said he wasn’t supposed to post here anymore?
Isn't he the one that took over a year to pay off a bet? I'd say he's gone by 2022 at the earliest
One can hope
I'll just let you two lovebirds go at it. I'm done.
You were done before you started. Trying to start an argument about something you actually agree about

Rebel hit .400 overall in 17 which had “better pitching”
Just sayin the guy is right, the best players are going to have high averages no matter what pitching is, to say you can’t compare real life to a video game is 100% correct, it will always be easier to hit video game pitching than real life pitching
I really don't care what rebel hit in 17, 18, 19, or this year even. I just care about pitch accuracy getting fixed. Everything else is a matter of opinion.
It’s not really opinion but go off lol
Great players are always going to hit no matter what pitching is
You obviously don't know how to read.
Of course I know how to read just like everybody here we’ve been reading your salty complaints all game cycle
"I'm not disputing the fact that top players would not have high batting averages if pitch accuracy wasn't an issue."....
Yeah, like I said, you don't know how to read.

Here's the thing, that was what you were originally trying to argue or at least thats how it came across. It sounds like you want a true to life sim which to be honest I would enjoy as well. The problem is it would be a terrible business move because they would eliminate a huge part of their base. So many people already complain about the game being too hard for them, making it more or a sim would just get those people to give up.

Pitch accuracy was an issue last year that rolled over to being horrendous this year as well.
My whole thing with elite hitters BA may have been a bad example to relate it to real life. But I made sure that I didn't discredit any good hitters and their skill level by saying what I did. My thought was that if pitch accuracy got fixed, that there would be a direct correlation to BA and ERA's. For example, good hitters are going to still be good hitters against any pitch, but they're probably going to be a better hitter against pitches that are on or around the middle of the plate. Is that not a fair statement?
So my belief was that people who are hitting low .400 might be hitting high .300 instead which is still outstanding, but I could be wrong as those are just made up numbers when it comes down to it, I couldn't tell you what a .400 batter would be hitting if pitch accuracy got fixed, it was just my opinion.
But what amazes me is that you would think that gameplay would get fixed, or at minimum, get better as the years go on, but it doesn't feel like that's been the case.

The purpose of this link is I completely agree with his statement and in particular the 3rd paragraph.
As for SDS and the whole thing about business that you briefly mentioned is a whole different discussion. But I know I haven't spent a penny more than what I've already paid for the game itself, and would never consider investing any money because of how horrible gameplay is. I would be very interested in knowing how much of a difference or impact it would make on their business if they did fix the gameplay however, which is something that has yet to be done for I don't know how many years past.

I agree every sports game has suffered since the introduction of Ultimate Team style modes. I used to be a franchise player but every sports game franchise mode is barely any different than 5 years ago. I would say 10 years ago but back then there were more features in franchise. I don't think SDS is anywhere near as bad as EA or 2k but I would be willing to sacrifice some card content for tighter gameplay and more features on other modes. I enjoy this year's game, there are plenty of things that frustrate me but I still have fun playing. I enjoy the perfect/perfect system addition. I am a bit of an optimist when it comes to games improving which is why i bought Madden for so long. SDS hasn't lost me yet.

I dont know what it is, but I was very good at pitching in 19 and I felt like I had better control. Pitches didn't seem to randomly hang.
In 20, something in the engine was tweaked. Its like the user control was nerfed.
Something i did notice when it comes to using kontrol freaks or similar joystick covers - i actually had better control when taking it off my right joystick for analog pitching vs having it on.

There’s a stat called control, if that’s not maxed out then your pitches aren’t always going to land right on the dot.
