Month long dead ball? Epic troll for honus

So this is just such a comically horrendous idea, parameters that are not much fun in a field that you can’t hit perfect perfect shots out of even if you connect and launch one w 65 power.
Two of the rewards are not dead ball era guys and the one who is if universally known as one of the worst pitchers in the show.
The only way they save face on this is if it’s a complete troll job and at the very end the add honus as like a 200 win reward. People would loose their minds and the card would be a million and ultra rare like real honus card as not many people would have time to get to the 2 or 300 wins in last week.
I would love this to happen myself, would get some buzz going. Honus was a deadball era legend and would be the only way to make his card have the least amount in circulation. Deadball 2 add 50 more win rewards. Then on the last week add 100 or 150 and make honus the final reward!

Yes I’m between events of the same theme they have, but just packs, not a single card. But if they want to make honus the rarest card in the game this would be the way to do it

Not sure if they've ever added rewards in the middle of event or not but that certainly would create buzz. I'd think he would easily be the highest priced and most rare card in the game, which would actually be perfectly fitting for a that Honus card. I don't typically play events and even if I did there is zero chance I'd get to 2 or 300 wins but I kind of like the idea. Hopefully I would be able to make the 1.5 million stubs it would cost to buy him but even if I didn't, I do like the idea. Create buzz and make that card true to what it is, the rarest and most expensive card there is.

I don’t think it will happen but that would have been a good idea. Terrible event but in that case a great reward at the end.

It would be a real sleezeball move if SDS did that. At this point many people don’t need stubs and thus playing beyond Christy is pointless. Honus is likely going to be in the 9th inning with Mays and Foxx

funny you say that about homers but I have lost my only 2 deadball games by moonshot blasts... I'm going to try to play a few here or there every day, but it certainly isn't a whole lot of fun.

Well I hope they see that without 70 power contact hitters are completely useless with no pop. The ball is always a weak grounder or lazy pop fly. These hitters should still be spraying the ball around the fielding and hitting the ball hard into gaps, even if it’s not perfect perfect. The times I’ve got the ball perfect it’s still these long fly balls, no hard hit line drives AT ALL. That’s a problem

They’re using a different lay out, you see the cards of the batters walking up. I dig the new style. I’m also hitting and pitching better.

They've added rewards levels when extending an event to a part 2 or 3. However, the rewards they've added have never been cards, packs, xp, and stubs sure but not cards. If they think this will create buzz good for them. The sound of me buzzing to other games lol. Just got my plat for Ghost of Tsushima. Pga and wasteland 3 look interesting
