Struggling with Jon Lester moments
-
I’m in need of some help. I thought I was pretty decent at the game but I can’t get the Rockies out to save my life. Moments have been making me feel like a total loser at this lately /: i don’t want to blame gameplay or whatever, just looking for help.
What are some effective pitching strategies with Lester you guys used?

it took me multiple tries against the rockies too. I ended up doing online missions
-
Idk if it’s just me but moments have been feeling like a daunting task. I can win 65-75% of my games online and compete but the CPU is eating my soul lately.

Just let the catcher call the game

I didn’t see no calls. They don’t call it on All-Star, do they?
-
That Rockies mission was really tough. Do the online missions and just skip it.....rest are pretty easy.

If you hit R2 when pitching the catcher will make calls. I found this out while doing the Ruth moments, suprised me a bit. It works for legend as well i believe.

The Rockies were ok for me I think i beat it on the first try, but boy can i not pitch to Blackmon. I've tried everything the past 2 years with him, high, low, outside, inside, everything he hits is crushed. Luckily they were for outs this tjme.

Oh wow, I had no idea. That is definitely good to know. I’ll try that out in a little bit and see if I have some better luck!

Yup, always eat before you play. Used the catcher to help get me through Story(hit 4HRS against me) but I really just needed brain food lol. Breezed thru it this go.

Stat grinds > Moments
To the person at SDS that came up with Moments, and everyone that gave it the green light:
I hope your grandma’s dog gets worms.
I hope your wife leaves you....for a woman.
I hope you stub your toe....

Woah too far with the toe comment! Lol jk but in all seriousness, I had trouble with Blackman until I pitched him backwards, slow to fast.

Exactly. Just pitch him online and forget that mission.

You can also change the general game settings pre-game so that you always get the catcher’s recommendation, even on Legend.
For the Rockies ones, you need them to miss the ball since any contact tends to travel in Coors. Some inside fastballs worked well for me (right on the black, both high and low) mixed with breaking stuff down and away. Once you get your confidence up with a few K’s, you can also start mixing in high FBs just above the zone.

No surprise here. It is because Lester is terrible. Just wait until you try to win a game online using him!
-
The Rockies were a breeze for me. The mission I struggled with was the one where you finish his no-no against the Royals. I'd have the last out to go and they'd hit it over the Monster. I found that fastballs at the corners does the trick quite well. Just fastball, fastball, fastball, and the occasional cutter.
