Does defense matter on hall of fame?

I’m just curious, does defense and pitching really matter on hall of fame? Seems like it’s just slugging. Most of the hits on me are not going to be caught or fielded anyways so why just not go heavy on bats.

I notice most of the games I watch on YouTube are blow outs. Or 10 to 12. Seems to me it’s all about the long ball.

Defense matters in the OF, middle IF and C (to me). 1st and 3rd are kinda a toss up. You can trade offense for defense at second and catcher, maybe corner OF depending on the field you play at.
I have nothing lower than silver shields on my team (Ruth and Hornsby on the right side). Diamond in all OF and short, gold at catcher(I run Prestige Biggio here for his offense) and 3rd
Keep in mind the games posted to YT are their best games. Nohodys posting 2-1 wins with 15k's.

Idk which games you are watching where scores are 12-10 on HOF. I’d kill to have 10 runs on HOF
However I do agree that it seems like most of the runs come via longball

It could of been a one off game but this last guy hey everything where my defend couldn’t get to it. And I have nothing lower than gold. I may have to put machado and Ozzie back at SS and 3rd

if its the awards Machado you should just sell it. Evan Longoria is the same and free from the all timers program.

Whenever I dip into HOF briefly, the games are really low scoring and it seems to me defense, pitching, and speed matter more than they do on all-star.

Defense doesn’t mean a thing in this game honestly. Diamond defenders are average compared to common or bronze defenders. I mean diamond and gold defense means they will make errors. This game allows poor defenders to be more important then actual good ones

I agree. How is babe Ruth making the same plays as Cody bellinger at 1st. Chipper jones making the same plays and manny machado????????

Really is eloy a diamond? Get real, babe Ruth is a silver defender with 60 speed and moves like mantle or trout. This game is a joke

That’s the problem with the game, they put these guys that are great hitters but horrible defensively in the game. They make them better defensively then they actually are and it hurts the game. Last year griffey was a nightmare in the outfield -
