IMO, it still weights games played too much. Somebody with that much higher of a winning percentage and that much higher of an OPS when the ERA is about the same (I think WHIP would be better than ERA anyway, not sure how that would change anything) makes me say Notorious should be above rebel. I think there should just be a min number of games played to be on the list. Just one opinion.
That’s the biggest problem we ran into when creating the formula. I originally wanted to just make it win ratio but that would be problematic for someone that is say 40-10. Couldn’t make it W - L as that obviously favors the no life even more. Multiplying the two was the best thing we could come up with as IMO there just is no perfect way to do it.
This is a concept I just came with to try to balance games played vs. Win %:
For a control group lets say a 500-300 player vs. A 150-50 player
so for the W-L something I tried was multiplying the losses by 1.3 before calculating, this means the 500 win player's win-loss is now 110, the 150 win player is set at 85 now, a much more fair playing field
Then, to emphasize winning % more, what I did was multiplied the total win÷loss by 1.3 to weight it higher than the W-L, so the 500 winner has a multiplier of ~2.16 and the 150 win player's multiplier is 3.9
This would give us a win/loss score of about 238 to the 500 game winner and a score of 331.5 to the 150 game winner
Imo this would be good because it weights the records a lot more fairly where the guy who wins 75% of his games is treated better than someone who wins 62.5% of their game, and it doesn't hurt/help anyone who plays more but also doesn't unfairly hurt/help the people who are 40-10
This is a very rough concept but it felt like a good idea to share
Another possibility is not adding the 1.3 multiplier to the win÷loss just to keep the scores closer between the 500-300 type players vs. The 150-50 players while still having the 150 win player have more points by a score of 255-183.67
Once more, this is a rough concept

What’s everyone’s goal for score in 20? I’m shooting for 3000
-
My score would put me at 69 I believe. I’ll take it. Didn’t play nearly as many games as others on Legend but still a very cool formula.
-
I’d say the highest RS rating made during a season should be taken into account. Possibly even total WS made. I hardly played on Legend against other 900+ players this year and my stats reflect it. If I stop at 15-3 and somebody plays an extra 20 games on Legend against the best and goes 10-10 and finishes 25-13. Those stats are much better than mine even if they don’t reflect it.
IMO Rebel 1 and Notorious 2 makes all the sense. I don’t see how Notorious could be playing even close to the same competition as Rebel with that few games. Even if it’s unintentional those stats are very skewed just based of match making.
-
41, nice! Can't remember what the actual game has me listed as but it's not nearly that high.
-
Love the work you guys did on this, the crappy thing is this really shows how much no lifing the game is rewarded in the lifetime rankings.
-
Can I not see my RS record online ?
-
I’m 93 in the game and 143 with this formula so I’d agree with this if i would’ve played a bit more I’d probably end up around in the 80s-90s range.

I must not be looking in the correct place then ?

I wish they’d bring back the universal profile record and stats to tsn. It was so nice to look up the opponent’s record and stats before the game

That's where I am trying to look. So it can't see it online then. I'm not crazy right ?

You can only see it in game not on tsn. TSN only shows rating unfortunately

Absolutely! It was a great feature to see your progress from year to year now it’s much harder

You can't tell competition from games played. For example, Notorious played in a tournament (EJ's Young Guns Tournament) where it was against top level talent and he mercied the field that included other top players that I think also included CBrev. Meanwhile, Rebel doesn't play as many tournaments but I don't see him going deep in the ones he does play in. Point being, it's hard to say.

We’re hoping to set up a 3 game series Rebel vs Notorious on legend sometime in 20. Especially if the game is better

% agree. My numbers pre-19, not that they are anything to speak of, went away this year. Would be great to look back to 16 and measure progress.

Oh my bad, I misread the question

Did mine for fun. Unless I did it wrong mine would put me at 168 on this list. With a score of 787.02556. Interesting formula. Fun stuff.
Also I might have the lowest ERA of all those guys. 2.69. With the exception of lalcaraza69. Although I dont like comparing my ERA to guys who consistently play well into the 900's and 1000's because those guys face much stiffer competition. -

I lost a game against him once, the first time we matched up, and he messaged me with all sorts of profanities claiming he's the best player in the game and asking me "did you smash your controller kid?". I was like GG man you played well.
All the matchups after that, I never forgot his username, I won against him and he always has reason to complain about anything. I actually blocked him because I got so tired of him, he literally sounds like an 11 year old.
