Interesting, I’ve only faced him in event twice and lit him up both times, the lack of horizontal movement is a tad concerning
Any pitcher can be lit up on all star difficulty.
Good point , but even guys like Orel are tough to read on all star ,any pitcher that doesn't have vertical as well as horizontal movement is fairly easy to predict imo.

I picked him up and hope that the next inning bosses are good so I can make Stubbs off of him, because he seems to be the least popular of the three

He is really good if you can spot your locations and mix in the curve... huge speed differential. Seems very effective for the first 6 innings

Not a joke, do you have any idea/advice on how to spot your pitches for a sustained period of time in this game?!? If so I’d (almost) pay you to share you’re secret because I’ve become resigned to simply trying to “Paint the Quadrants”....so far mix results but figure just hoping for less middle of the plate moneyballs regardless

Pulse pitching, as long as you have good timing, the ball goes exactly where the circle says it will. On occasion a high sinker will dip a bit, but I've only had that issue with Maddux. I've played almost 1,000 RS games on my main account, ERA still below 2.

have not tried in RS, but have vs CPU and friends and would not use in RS based off that experience.

I use pulse pitching, it’s easy to get perfect release with pitchers who have control in the upper 90’s like Johnson... honestly I pick a spot and unless I’m preoccupied or not paying close attention, the ball goes exactly where I put it. Gotta mix it up in games with players rated 600+

I’ve used him for two games (about 11 innings) and he’s only allowed like 5 hits and he maybe has 15K’s. Small sample, but the sidearm mixed with 102 on the fastball has been good for me so far. And this year I suck at pitching lol

I think people are overlooking his best attributes and thats hitting now in all seriousness I'm grabbing him for the collection reward and probably not much else
