Tricks/cheats?

Im horrible at the game, mainly hitting. If i win its with 3 runs or less.... does anyone know a cheat/trick/glitch? I did find one trick that works most people probably know.
For those who dont know Runner on base, hold r2 until pitcher is set. The pitcher wont pick off after this point, so while holding r2 take a 2 step lead and steal.

I think hes referring to against the cpu, this would never work against a live opponent.
