Has there been a more overrated athlete than Tebow?

I find Tebow as the mirror of Kapernick. also was talented and a leader who kneeled first what he believed in.

Tebow....kneeled for what he believed in. Kap was actually a stud baseball player back in the day

As a professional athlete sure, as a college athlete very few have been as good or as decorated as tebow

I am talking about as a pro. I hate college sports. It takes advantage of thousands of kids. Tebow is the ONLY NFL QB I have seen play that Made me feel I could play the NFL QB position when I was younger. All others even the worst I marvel at to a degree

I agree on the NCAA, disagree on the him being the only NFL QB comment, there are some really bad quarterbacks in the NFL right now and there have been worse than Tebow in the last 10 years (not saying Tebow was any good)

I watched him play minor league here in Florida like 2 years ago on the 4th of July and wasn’t impressed.

I don’t watch that much football anymore. But If there are guys worse than Tebow that is a sad commentary on the NFL

I am a lifelong Jets fan who spent over 20 years living in Denver. I will say this...that one year where he took over a terrible Broncos team, beat the snot out of my Jets and went on to the playoffs was one of the most exciting things I've ever seen in professional football. It was so refreshing to watch the Broncos redesign their entire system around this guy and play a totally different game than the rest of the league was prepared to play. Run it up the middle, run it up the middle, and then run it up the middle again! The following season he signed with my Jets and I had such high hopes. Watching Rex Ryan refuse to build around and use Tebow was such a heavy blow because for one shining moment I saw exactly what I had been wanting to see for most of my adult life.

As a baseball fan I could care less what he does in AAA or AA...he's too old to have a rookie season and viable career at this point.

Kap and Tebow are very similar and yes they both took a knee for what they believed in ultimately both of them ended up with short career's because of flaws in there game both in my opinion would have made better backups than 80% pf backups that played while they were hoping to get back in the league but they both decided to campaign for there cause on a platform that tolerates anything from a sure fire winner and nothing from anyone else. The main difference in the 2 when it came to kneeling was Tebow was kneeling from the time he hit the air waves and it appeared Kap started kneeling as it became evident that he may not turn out to be as good as initially thought. If I were an owner of a NFL team I'd prefer that wearing Pig socks, protesting, and praying all be done on my employee's own time not while representing my brand. Jordan did it best and still does play ball, be awesome, sell to everyone

I'm glad I found the show it made it easy to turn off football. The NCAA has set up rules to insure it proifits from its top players hiding behind we give scholarships which for 99% of NCAA is truly enough but for kids who may never be great pros and sign giant deals, even get drafted to be exploited and have there ability to earn $$$ on there talents is terrible and speaking of TERRIBLE the nfl has perfected 2 things making tons of money and being really really really terrible

For me the biggest difference is Kap was talented and Kap was pushing a specific cause not just general Christianess

Fair enough, thanks for not taking that as an attack or political statement glad to see people can still have a sane conversation on a touchy topic.
