Starting pitcher energy

Why does it seem as though it takes absolutely forever for a starter’s energy to fill back up when other guys are starting in Ranked Seasons? And I rarely do that thing where I bring in a starter for relief. Just seems like I almost never have anyone fully rested before I start a new RS game.

Pitcher stamina needs fixed. This is ridiculous. I’m sure most of the community is fine with somewhat fixing the situation with starters coming out of the pen, but to nerf it this badly. Nobody can use their SP’s. Not even after 5+ games. That’s not baseball. -

@lucas8181 Does it take a full five games? I've been trying to revive guys I've used and taken out (like the FS guys for the missions) and it's taking forever to rebuild everyone back up. I'm trying to juggle and not being very successful. I never use starters out of the pen, but I have several guys I'm trying to build back up. I want to get to the point where I'm back to everyone being set (I know, very nitpicky of me) and I've only got 4 guys I'm working to rebuild at a time. WIll that be possible?

It’s fine. Sorry you can’t use a 4 man rotation and the 5th as a long reliever anymore.

Now, to balance this, they need to make it possible for relievers to achieve a full stamina bar. I threw 3 pitches (3rd was a HR) with a fully ready reliever in a ranked game last night and got a “getting tired” message. That is ridiculous.

I understand the purpose of trying to find a solution to all the starters coming out of the pen but having your SP be at 1/4 energy after a 2nd inning dashboard wasn't the answer either IMO.

I second the relievers need a full stamina bar sentiment, this is huge now that your starters and unusable for 5 games

I pitched 7 pitches with a full energy starter when my opponent quit. I figured I could use him next game, but nope he had about 1/4 energy.

I don’t mind they did this, but start releasing some of the dominate relievers in headliners, I love Thor, but We could use some more pen help..

My starters stamina goes 121, 122, 123, 124, and 125 across the board so I'm just throwing them as much as possible each game. I'm glad because it leads to more pitcher variance and increases the value of the bullpen.
Spend on pitching this year, good hitters can be found everywhere.
Last 3 RS games have gotten 8ip out of Maddux and Hershiser and 11 by Feller.
One big thing is I wish relievers had a full bar when rested instead of 80%. Maybe that would tone down the "threw 4 pitches now im tired." I also wish there was more clarity on how we need to warm up pitchers in our bullpen.

@collin_sds if you’re going to make this change then make pitching better. Our input doesn’t seem to matter at all. I can place pitches all day where I want and half of them end up down the middle. Make user input matter more with pitching so that people can rely on starting pitching. This is ridiculous. If it’s my WS game, I should be able to bring in whoever I want without being penalized for it. Period. I use an opener from time to time, so why should I be penalized for doing so when several MLB teams do the same?

That’s fine. But I just played a game and my Lodolo lost 50 percent energy even though my opponent dashboarded in the first inning. I threw like 8 pitches. I struck him out once. Opponent got a single and tried to do the extra lead business. I end up picking him off first and the guy dashboards. And I can’t use Lodolo (using for the stat mission) for a few games now.
I am totally on board with a creation to stop starters out of the pen. But there has to be circumstances where you’re still good. And having 5 games before guys lower get back to full health is kind of killer for some of my starters I’ve used and pulled out (Like Graterol for his innings mission) and I can’t get them built back up now because all my other guys need to be built back up too.
And, of course, the reliever stamina in game thing.

You’re not really penalized for an opener. He’ll go down a half if he pitches an inning and if you bring ina starter, he’ll drain normally and will be at 50 percent or lower depending on how many pitches he throws.
The big thing with this is trying to throw multiple starters in a game.

Here’s a problem that I see. It’s pretty clear this has been going on longer than today. So enough people noticed, so they said something. This confirms they’ll make changes without telling us in patch notes. I’m not usually a conspiracy guy, but this is kind of sneaky. What else have they changed without telling us?

If I remember right, more towards the beginning of the year, a mod came on here and told us that they specifically didn’t make changes without a patch. HA!
I try my hardest to lean away from the conspiracies as well, but it’s just weird.Regardless, this was NOT the solution.

I hate when I use my starter for 1 inning and then the other guy quits/disconnects. My starter will got to half energy automatically.

I’m happy with this change. Now we actually have to build a true 5 man rotation like in MLB. Plus it should mark the end of starters as relievers and require us to actually focus on building a legit bullpen. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve knocked out Hal or Orel only to see Kluber come in for relief. Really going to make us strategize how we use the bullpen arms.
