I switched to game mode on my LG 4k tv and the game plays completely different. Everything is slower. The pitching meter is slower and easier to manage and instead of late on everything, I am early, which gives me more time to read pitches. Is this the way it should be by switching from movie to game mode?
Game mode on TV
For games like The Show monitors work best, but if you’re playing on a TV you definitely want to use game mode. I use game mode on my 4K 65 inch Sony and it works well enough.
I have a 65 Samsung tv that has 9ms input lag, and does as well as most monitors. I have a 32 monitor that has 3ms input lag. To be honest for me, I prefer the tv because I feel I can see so much better, and the difference is so slight it’s barley noticeable to most people.
I also play on an LG tv with game mode and that's where I'm happy. It's a good medium for me between size of screen, and playability of games.
Mind you the tv is about 9 years old so I'm not too sure how much of an affect "game mode" has on my experience, but the placebo is nice.

I just did the exact same thing you did about a month ago and had the exact same experience. From way late to early. Everything is more smooth. I can even complete a few showdowns too. Online play is way better. You will enjoy game mode.
