When I come up firing to first after a rocket to RF sometimes my 1B is on the bag, and sometimes he’s kicking rocks in the middle of the base path. Is this totally random or is there something specific that triggers him covering...or better yet, is there a way to get him to cover? I’ve had slow guys dead to rights so many times only to have him nowhere near the bag (I’ve been the beneficiary plenty too - it’s not so much a complaint as it is wondering if it’s random or not).

A pet peeve of mine is people throwing the ball to the first baseman even when someone like Ellsbury hits it to right. I don't know why, but it irks me.

How about when you get a base hit to LF and they throw it to first. I've actually been able to take second on a few of those With speedy runners.

That doesn't seem to happen too much, but it is hilarious watching someone try and fire it from the leftfield foul line thinking they might get you at first. Might have to try and take second next time this happens to Brujan or Jacoby.

They only seem to cover the base if the 2b made an attempt to field it.

I once had 99 Dawson hit a rocket to that landed just in front of the RF. I believe it was Walker who threw out Andre at first. I was pissed...

It depends if it's considered playable by an infielder. If it's a clear base hit he'll be nowhere near the bag.
