New Rule changes coming 2020...do we see them in DD?

I would much prefer having a couple extra bench bats and a couple fewer relievers. Realistically, I've only run into a couple times when 7 relievers were necessary. I could probably get by just fine with 6 good ones. I'd like to have a backup catcher but I'm not wasting a slot on someone who can only do one thing.

Keep in mind that with the new rules, only players designated as pitchers can pitch unless the game goes to extras or one team is ahead by 7 or more, or the guy is Ohtani.
That whole letting position players pitch an inning won't work anymore.

I don't even see why this would be up for debate. If it's a new rule, there's almost no reason for it NOT to be in MLB:TS 20. The only exception would be the 3-batter rule for BR, but other than that ... what reason could SDS have for not incorporating new rules into the game?
They found a reason to keep the DH out of DD...
It’s a game that’s supposed to be fun, so I could see them not bothering with the 3 batter minimum, at least for 20.
I mean, balks are annoying so they aren’t in DD, despite being a fundamental rule of baseball.

I think they just didn't program balks into the game, imagine the complaints about umps then! While the DH is in the game, just not in DD.

I have no idea why, but there was an event in '17 with balks turned on and it was pure chaos.

If it is not a priority relative to the other things being implemented this year then it might be held off until there has been a season under the new rule just to iron out the real-life creases and any issues the rule might create for the game.
If it is incorporated, hopefully it’s a toggle in Franchise, M2O and RTTS, and that the toggle impacts both played and simmed games.
I’d be interested to know how it works in simmed games - whether it has been incorporated into the logic in those or not.
