Is it considered a cheap tactic, maybe even an 'exploit', to start an RP as a starter/bring in an SP as a relief/closing pitcher in a BR or Event game?

Just need opinions on this. Not a full fledged debate.

    I, myself, think it's cheap.

why an exploit or cheap? a pitcher is a pitcher, the only difference between them is stamina. only reason there is defined roles is because of tradition, but baseball is starting to change that.
in 10 years we might not have starters or relievers, just 13 pitchers on the roster who pitch at any point of the game.

Considering teams in real life have been doing this for years it’s not an exploit or cheap in any way. It’s good strategy. Especially in a short 3 inning game.

It’s called using an opener. You use 1 guy to get 3 outs than move to your actual starter. If you move your pitcher up and do it right you can get an extra inning or 2 out of your starter because he won’t bat as much and you take the first 3 hitters out so less time for players to see the “starter” through the line up.
