I'm looking for some help. I haven't been around DD for a few years and would value some thoughts on what people think will be coming content wise. I already have a good squad with Mantle and 5th Inning bosses with about 300k stubs. Should I be chasing the 'Honus' or waiting for awesome cards to drop in the near future? How did this look last year?

I feel like you can do either of the following 2 things: The first is to save your stubs to see what the requirements are. The wiser move is probably to invest your stubs in cards that you don't have or diamonds that are cheap right now. When the collection program drops I expect a big price increase for high diamonds that are no longer available in packs. Examples are the players from the DUTP packs (prime cueto, prime hernandez), bosses from the first few innings programs and some of the headliners.

It's a hard question to answer only because SDS has changed up the formula on so many things this year.

The inning programs remain pretty much the same but the have extended the rewards past 600 in all but 2 innings so far. Additionally the pack rewards in this year are far better then last year for the most part.

Player programs have been added and I wouldnt be surprised if we see them add more flashback ones soon that are some heat but dont impact the inning programs and might be their own collection that impacts the Honus collection.

Last year in Spet we got the Signature teams program which I really enjoyed and that gave put some great cards but were free via moments.

I personally think the Honus collection will be differnt this year and may involve completing collections and a corresponding program for each series.

I would wait on buying over priced low diamonds and golds right now. You will most likely not be able to complete the Chase collection the first month unless you buy a ton of stubs. There will likely be a high requirement of Prime, Sig, and Awards cards to collect. They will also be give away more collection cards in the near future to help everyone and drive down the overpriced cards a bit. This is what happened last year with signature teams and extra moments with gold player rewards. You missed the window to buy, and with 300k you will not be finishing the collection soon unless you have almost all the above mentioned card types.

Honestly I would just invest in some of the cards and flip them once the collection is dropped

I'm thinking that the "Honus" collection this year will have multiple stages with new collection rewards added over time. We might only be getting stage one on the 28th. Guessing the final collection reward drops a little while after stage 4 team affinity.

If the collection does have stages and does not drop all at once the market could fall pretty hard with as much as people have invested.

it would be nice if each card series gets its own program and or collection reward.

I noticed they changed a couple collection names/icons today. The prospects one now has a diamond icon. I'm guessing this has something to do with the new "Honus" collection?
