JRam, Thames & Springer
-
Just got to 25 and took JRam because of the versatility and no specific need. Have played with him in BR before and he plays wayyy above stats. No real point in the post, just curious what y’all’s thoughts are

Yeah, I don't love playing with cards with made up stats, although I'm not above it. So while I felt thames was the best card, I took Springer first because I thought it might be useful to have another "Postseason" card when the Honus collection drops. JRam's swing is always super nice though.

Took Thamos first and just took Springer Level 65 about an hour ago, partly because of the Postseason collection. For those who have 99 Springer or 99 JRam, how have they performed for you /still on your lineup?

But you play a made up baseball game with made up cards with made up stadiums and where I can have Babe Ruth play on the same team as Shohei Ohtani? And like, 50% of the cards in this game are not based on real life performance at all? Do you use all live series cards?

I hear you man and I understand your point. The only player I use that’s not based on a real player is Didi POTM and that’s because I love him as a player (I see the hypocrisy). I use legends because I’m a fan of baseball and its history and their stats are based on history. I use made up stadiums when playing online because it plays better. I hate future stars and prospects and I don’t like the idea of Thames being the best first baseman in the game because he had a couple good months. I think you’re being a little critical of the game as a whole and I think you know what I meant in my original comment, but I do understand your point. Shohei and the Babe are real players whose stats reflect that. Thames’ ccard id based off of a couple months a couple years ago. I don’t blame anyone else for using him and I’ve never called anyone else out on it, but it’s just not for me. So I went with the Postseason card that could be useful. He’s on my bench.

The fact there is debate on all 3 and not a consensus number one should allow you to pick a position of need., Jram is versatile and a switch hitter, Springer plays all OF positions and is a rare PS card, Thames supposedly rakes and many consider a top 3 card.

I took Ramirez first and he's locked into 2B. Can't see him moving off it anytime soon/at all.
