I played someone last night who would just steal steal steal bunt steal bunt steal idk how that’s fun lol
Same! For me it was the MOONSHOT event! He bunted to 2nd with Jackie and 87 Robles. I replayed my homers after that! He then quit
Yep, anyone who cheeses is gonna watch my homeruns. I do it every time.

I just quit when people are that dumb. If you want a win that badly take it, cause I couldn't care less about my record. Just trying to play and have fun.

And that’s why they keep playing like that.

I wish I could get matched up with guys like that for some easy wins instead of top 200 players seemingly every single game haha.

Yeah, i hate losing to a cheeser, i ordinarily dont care about win or loss until i see people play like that. And its because they obviously only care about winning and not about having a good fun game.

Bunting and stealing used to be cheesy back when you pretty much couldn't stop them no matter what you did. Those days are long gone so if someone is bunting and stealing all over you, you can pretty easily shut it down.
Now there's are still a few cheesy things people still do but for the most part they are ineffective so people don't really do them that much.
People like to complain about the gameplay in this game but the devs have actually done a really good job of minimizing cheese. I enjoy madden, but you essentially can't be a good madden player unless you use amd abuse cheesy tactics.

With how many posts there are about this kind of stuff you would think 75% of online games are players like this, and I’m guessing it scares some offline plays away from online. Fact is I might run into a player like this every 50 or so games. It is annoying, but it really doesn’t occur often enough to be a problem IMO
You are 100% correct. I’ve read about so much drama in regards to online play I’m not sure it’s worth it for me. However like everything else, you can’t believe everything you read. For now I’m totally a offline player as it’s my 3 month back playing after a 10 year layoff.

If Jackie is leading off the inning and you're not guarding the bunt, what's wrong with taking that free base?
Bc it’s annoying to have to put a bunt defense on and off every time a fast guy is up
Take what the other team gives you, I have many extra base hits with him when the bunt defense is put on.
-
I dont really see the bunt and steal thing as cheese. There are mechanics built into the game you can utilize to help prevent it. I dont do that stuff but i dont hate those people. A saying that comes to mind we probably all know "Dont hate the player, hate the game"

I think it’s the other way around. I can think of only 2 or 3 games I played in the last week where people weren’t trying to cheese. Once I hit 100 event wins, I was just hitting with my prestigable players and quitting. At least 90% of the people I played either cheesed high sinkers with Graterol or used Wright and threw nothing but knuckleballs.

Lol Mann... High sinkers and knuckleballs from common pitching is not cheese! Lololol knuckleballs actually suck now. And its 64 overall card on all star it is very easy to catch up to that sinker. What are you expecting? Fastballs down the middle?

im annoyed by this thread by the end of it. Lotta people who are complaining about stuff they can stop or practice for. They dont know what "cheese" tactics in video games really are. If its preventable its not cheese.

Common players or not, throwing sinkers high is cheese because it’s a flaw in the game and not something that is done in real life. Yes, it was easier to hit in the event, but my bigger point is that cheesing is super common and I barely ever play a game against someone who is not doing it. In the ranked season game I just completed the POS was cheesing high sinkers with Hershiser.

Exactly. Its not a flawed pitch it gets rocked by me and my opponents all the time. Even at 101. You have the flaw at the plate i feel like.
-
I have hit every single type of pitch and pitcher in this event. Its not like RS where 102 sinker feels unhittable. Yes there are times i dont do well, but that is almost entirely because i am not hitting. I blasted Wright Knuckle balls and Brusdars sinker. I have actually been excited to see Adon come in, been lighting him up too, and everyone goes to him.

It’s a game flaw wether or not you and your opponent ROCK IT. They’re literally giving every pitcher a sinker because they can’t balance it properly lmao
