What do you think is the best collection of affinity cards? Seems like the Braves are near the top. Albies is decent for that first round. I haven't used him, but a lot of you have sworn by Kyle Wright and Smoltz should be good.
What do you all think are the best sets of 3?
-
CLE and SD are both very strong candidates
-
Dodgers have to be up there, Justin Turner was great in his time, I used him alot. Gatorade was kinda meh, but Hersh is top notch.
-
I've got six through the legend FOTF- Yankees, Twins, Angels, Rangers, Rockies and Padres. I haven't had the chance to really use Salmon, Young or Gwynne yet. Of course, Gleyber, Ohtani, Gallo and Tatis were good. I started there after Rockies and that's why I've got those teams the furthest. Marsh, Trammell and Kiriloff aren't pretty good. I haven't used the new FOTF much yet, but I've liked Killebrew so far.
I was probably going to go after Braves next, since I already have Albies. I'm on stage 1 for every other team besides those first six.
-
MIN is another. Buxton is a cheat code at the dish and has elite speed/defense.
Kiriloff and Killebrew would be a beastly combo on the corners -
Yeah, Twins are solid. Leaning towards working Braves or Dodgers next.
-
Cleveland has to be my pick, for 3 good cards.
If they had given FotF to Suarez instead of Votto, CIN would be up there.
-
not the Blue Jays!!
-
Cleveland or Minnesota are the best 2 overall. Reds got the best stage 2 card and probably the best position player stage 3 card, but are weighed down by votto. Dodgers are solid. Braves have 3 good cards but no absolute studs. Marlins have a good stage 2 and 3 but a bad stage 1. Worst one overall has to be the giants though. At least they Jays and Tigers got good stage 3 cards

Marichal isn’t any good? That sucks.

I haven’t used him but he doesn’t have a sinker and has no velo and wasn’t good last year. I crushed him in showdown when I faced him too. He is better than Catfish but easily the second worst of the TA3 pitchers
-
I heard Smoltz was cheeks. So did they screw up all the 99 pitchers in TA3 or what?

I mean Hershiser, Burnett, Wood, and Leiter are pretty good. Smoltz is Ok, and has a pretty good pitch selection for not having a sinker, his problem is that he is simply easy to read

Albies swing is awesome.

Votto mashes for me in the short time I have used him, But his 17 speed is terrible.

Cleveland is a good call. Might do that one next. I’m either in stage 3 with the legend unlocked or still in stage 1. I’m currently working on getting Braves and Nats up there. I went back to an old MTO with Nats and that will do that and I’m exchanging my way up Braves (and doing moments and missions along the way to save some exchanges.)
-
Atlanta, San Diego, Cleveland, LAD, LAA, Saint Louis, Texas and Minnesota are all strong TA lines so far.
-
I did Angels, Royals, and Nats...
Angels - Ohtani is a solid option to bring into the game to pitch for 3-4 innings or just a normal start plus can hit, Marsh is a solid lefty with pop and speed, and I sold Tim Salmon lol.
Royals - Whitfield is solid and can play multiple positions, Singer is actually very solid (not a lot of velocity but the off-speed makes up for that) and then George Brett is very solid at either corner spot.
Nationals - Soto is very solid and stayed in my lineup for awhile, luis garcia a good lefty who also was in my lineup until I got George Brett (I played garcia at SS and 3B) and then Andre Dawson is one of the best Team Affinity guys imo. Great stats in all categories. -
