THE GUYS ACTUALLY PLAYING BASEBALL RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
Look I love having players from different eras and I think the FS are a nice way of introducing people to the stars of tomorrow but the only cards that we don’t have are the great player’s who are playing the game now, lol.
If you look at peoples lineups its future players, past players and unless it’s Trout you have NONE of today’s players. LS cards need to be in step with the other ones so we can play with and enjoy the guys who are actually playing. I’m fine if they make them more exclusive or have silver slugger/gold glove versions of today’s players but it would be nice to feature the guys who are playing baseball now mixed in with yesteryear and stars of tomorrow. How can Joe Adell be a 99 in the future if Trout, potentially the greatest player of all time, can’t even hit 99 now???????

To be fair, NO ONE IS ACTUALLY PLAYING BASEBALL RIGHT NOW...
As the Content year progresses, I have no doubt we'll see Signature, Prime, Awards, and Finest cards of today's stars that will be good enough to crack people's lineups.

I know no ones playing but aside from be contrary I think you get my point. Trout is a 95 but Adells future prediction is 99? Just doesn’t make sense as their explanation of future stars is where they’ll be in 3-5 years but how can he be a predicted 99 when the hands down best player in baseball isn’t??

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that Future Stars wasn't the original plan for TA Stage 2 and an audible had to be called when the world ended.
(Yes, I know, FS Adell isn't a TA Reward, but when TA2 became Future Star-based (and those cards had to be better than TA1), then Addell's FS had to be better than all the other FS leading to what we got.)

Yeah perhaps , not a bad thought. I enjoy the game and honestly love the content just would like to be able to mix in a few current stars.

We can always wait for November for the Finest collection... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Eric Thames, Jose Ramirez, George Springer, Cody Bellinger monthly award and Didi Gregorius are not high rated currrent players to you?
I get that the future stars shouldn't have higher ratings then live series players but to be fair, not many of them are usable in ranked seasons after the TA3 update.

95% of the time these posts are made its because Judge has never had a usable card. Which he will probably get tomorrow

I’m bored with today’s players. Finest cards always bore me too. I prefer the legends

I actually think this isn’t the case. I think future stars was always planned for stage 2. SDS just got the rights to minor leaguers this year so I knew there was gonna be a heavy focus whether or not there was a season. If you look at the stages it makes sense, face of the franchise (low diamond for current players that are a mix of best players and franchise icons still playing, ex: Molina is not the best current player on the cards but is the most iconic current player), stage 2 future stars (mid tier diamond that is potentially the face of the franchise In the future, minus some top prospects for each team), stage 3 legend of the franchise (high diamond that is an icon for the team but not necessarily their elite icon, ex: Marichal and not mays for the giants), and I think stage 4 will be either finest or signature series cards of the top or one of the top 2 or 3 of current players on each team. Stage 2 being future series cards makes total sense to me if this is the path they are going down
