Just wait for pitches above the letters. Don't worry about having to restart the moment. He hits bombs when the pitch is above the letters. You could also try hitting on directional for that moment that's how I got it.

Should I power swing
No I just used normal swing (he has a 110 power). Just wait out the pitcher(s) and don't be afraid to take pitches. You will eventually get something to hit.

I just waited for a pitch middle up and did a power swing. 3 for 3 with 3 HR. He's got enough power that on rookoe he'll crush anything he makes decent contact on.

Are you talking about the 3xb mission?
If so, I had so much trouble with that one that I quit out and came back to it when I finished all the other missions.
But yeah, the pitchers will throw like it's all-star/hof, alot of junk, and dot the edges, try and be patient and they will give you a few in the heart of the plate.

For me the issue wasn't the difficulty setting, it's the fact that the cpu never throws strikes so I just had to wait awhile.
