What's with all the love for Jason Kendall? He was a good catcher but 97?
Idk ask Joe Adell how he has a 99.
I've made myself overtly clear on those farces. So not only that, but we are rewriting history just for lineup diversity/new content.
It's a joke to see Feller given a 93 for his 1946 season when he led the league in W, GS, CG, SO, K, IP, and was 6th in MVP and had a WAR of 10 (pre CY awards). Yet Burnett is given a 97 for nothing more than being the only player they could think of to represent the Marlins TA. Best he ever had was a 4.5 WAR in one season.
Now we get a 97 Kendall who admittedly is much better than Burnett, but Bench is a 93?

Both of your examples will get better cards later on though -
Wow that Yount has more power than I was expecting. Might be an improvement over past years. I'm glad I finished the Brewers TA.

Comparing a card that dropped in April compared to now is a little silly. Now if Bench got a 93 FOTF and Kendall’s is a 97... that’s a reason to question it. But it’s comparing apples to oranges when you compare cards that are released at different times. It’s like judging Bench’s 2nd best card as his final version.

Both of your examples will get better cards later on thoughTo me it's not about better cards later on, it's about rewriting history for the sake of diversity. Fellers season (his card is based on) was great. AJ Burnett never had a great season, hell, he had only one good season. It's a joke.

I remember last year I couldn't stop laughing at the absurdity of them giving Bruce Sutter's 1984 All-Star card a 76 OVR when it was one of his top 2 or 3 seasons, and then his SS card got a 94.

Brock, Dawson, Davis, and Woods attributes in the OP

Wow, Kerry Wood looks filthy

NL Central is where it's at with TA 3
I still say NL east but that Eric Davis card could be great.
Yeah and Kendall was a beast last year I used his 87 AS card for most of the year
Ok maybe I was wrong after all. Davis, Kendall, Yount and Wood look like they are going to be great cards and that Lou Brock could be very good as well.

Wood looks awful to me 52/bb and 72 control, yikes. If someone brings him in, I'll set the controller down and grab a hot pocket.

It always amazes me that people complain about this. We all know that any mode like this is a progressive model and that the newest card is always gonna be better than a month old card. Regardless of who had the better career

97 3B Matt Williams

wasn't expecting Williams for the DBacks

Yep sam beat me to it I'd bet Cepeda
-
True didn't think of Cepeda. I'm definitely not expecting Mays, but since he was the collections reward last year they will probably try to make him easily available for everyone that couldn't get him.
