Was hella easy. He basically pitches to one spot and tires easy.
If you having a hard time. I suggest RBI baseball
Is rbi baseball where you picked up your directional skillzzz? Idk how it works over there .. I’ve never played the game.

F again figured easy way to do it now tho line outs ground outs every out but now i know...

Absolutely nothing , i might might cry today!

Cheat one square over and down with the PCI. The cutter moves more than you think it will and you got to stay inside of it. He'll throw them up and away or belt high inside.
-
I lost my first two attempts going in final with 7 and 8 runs. Third attempt I beat by skipping directly to the end and scoring the 16th run with 2 outs remaining. Sometimes it helps being patient when you have common and bronze batters. With diamonds you tend to get over aggressive as you want every swing to be a home run.
-
I think I finished the whole thing in 20 minutes, showdowns aren’t hard..

I use zone, badly but still use it because it’s the superior input
Only use directional for home run moments
Nice try on trying to be witty. Maybe next time actually read and comprehend a thread? ( directional thread )
Never did I say I use directional as my main input. Don’t think I even said I used it all ( which I do on occasion)
Reading is your friend. I hear you don’t need to read in RBI baseball, maybe you should try it ?

Yeah , took me few outs to catch on to how much Movement his cutter has. Once I adjusted, it was over.
Anyone having a hard time , take some pitches on your first batter. Don’t swing , doesn’t matter if you get out. Just look at the movement and you will be ok after that.

I was late on everything. Had to score 4 runs and scored 2.
I went and did practice on legend with Kahnle and Aroldis for about 50 pitches each...last night I was down 15-12 and Dahl hit a 3 run shot and that was it...today I hit 3 homer’s with first 3 batters after practice

I do a online game always before doing showdowns . You pick up the ball way better after doing online

It really is all luck in showdown. I haven't tried this one yet but I'm sure it will be like the rest. There are times I get 6-8 runs without recording an out and then there are night like Tuesday when I couldn't beat the first boss in the NL Central 3 times in a row. Bad luck and bad nights happen.
-
I went in 15-11 and got it done on the first go, took about an hour, but yikes. I mean I had to go 3-13 on good/goods before I got it done, but it was easy.. lol.
-
Just pack your lineup with left handed hitters and wait for the cutter to break when you face Mariano at the last moment.

Think me & my reading comprehension will be alright regardless, but uhhh .. maybe that winning percentage would look better if ya did make the transition to rbi baseball .. what you’re doing on MLBTS, clearly isn’t working whatsoever for all that time you’re putting in.

Honestly, if we could all just swallow our pride and set our hitting to Directional for Showdowns when we're struggling, we'd all get these done much quicker.
I started this Showdown off on Zone, failed the first two missions, went to Directional and then only failed one mission the rest of the way (and I was so close to getting it). All I do is just try to pull everything and it seems to make these so much easier. That said, if you can do it on Zone, by all means... don't degrade yourself with that Directional stink.
-
Was down 10-15, fought and tied it. Had the winning run on third with 3 outs left and couldn’t get him in
-
@BodamEscapePlan
I use directional bc that’s what was used in MVP baseball 2004 and I’ve used it ever since. Never bothered switching. It’s still very tough to hit with directional.
-
I went in 8-16 and won w 7 outs left - the key is to get his stamina down; I didn’t take to two strikes but I was extremely disciplined and sat high fb or cutter only. Once you get to 30 pitches he’s yellow and then red very fast. At that point he is batting practice throwing meatballs and it’s on veteran. You have to be patient and put together good at bats but it’s not hard at all unless you psych yourself out and press too hard

@MaxHarvest
That’s strange?? I was watching his energy consistently and he went out at 65 pitches. It was yellow around 40 for me -
