Cheapest way to do them? I don’t have the patience to deal with nerfed hitting in showdown right now. 370k stubs so I can afford to do a few teams
You're a little late to do this now. Prices gave inflated with the announcement of State 3 dropping next week.
Up until last week; I was able to get the following:
4 - 78s at 275-300 each
6 - 77s at 225-270 each
7 - 76s at 175-220 eachHigh end that would be 4,360 per every full 50k Exchange.
Depending on where you were at per team, the most you would pay (at 0-9%) would be 21,800 per team. But you would recoup back at least 2000 per team at the 20pts spot. So 19,800.
I know when I decided to try this out, with Atlanta, I picked out and got from 0-50pts by doing 5 exchanges and after it gave me back my 2k; it only cost me about 16-17K.
Now, 78s are going for around 325-350, 77s are about 275-300, and 76s are at 225-255.
Just got Jazz Chisholm by doing this. I had the Marlins at about 50% used this method started at 135k and still sit at 125k.

Cheapest way I would say is do March to October. Takes like a day or 2 to complete. Play on veteran and its anywhere from 48 point to max of 50.

Aparently if you walk away for a few weeks they can't be authticated. I've dashborded maybe once. Just went back to one of them today and got the message others have recevied. It's fine because the teams i did MTO with are now over 80% completion each for me so i don't realy care.

If I'm remembering correctly these values are based on 5k.
Yes. That was a while ago, and yes, around 5k.

I’ve been passively doing this and about to have 10 teams to 120 points. I believe I originally saw @bonion mention this but the 72 bronzes work well. I’ll go through and put 3 buy orders in for each player for the rival teams I’m doing the exchange for. Normally 2.5ish rounds of this will get me 50 TA points for less than 5k stubs per exchange.

Does anyone have a list that shows which teams are rivals for which teams?

Timing on buying these cards is important. A little over a week ago I was buying a ton of 77-79 Silvers in prep for these exchanges. I was buying some as low as 150-175, those prices have since doubled plus some. You can buy now at a higher price and concentrate on 77-79's or wait for a couple weeks for prices to come down a tad. With 370k, you could just start loading up now or be frugal and wait.

The absolute cheapest way is putting in buy orders for 63 or 64 Commons at 5-7 stubs a piece.
but it's murder on your fingers with how many orders you have to put up, I know from experience.
Just reading and doing some math in my head, most commons are worth 100 exchange points. So if you buy 20 commons at 5 stubs each, you spent 100 stubs for 1000 exchange points. I typically buy up 72 card because for 50-70 stubs, you get 997 exchange points. Your method sounds more costly and time consuming in the long run.

64 rated commons are worth 191 points. So that's nearly double your math of 100
Plus you did the math wrong there, even if it was 100 points, 20 commons is worth 2000 exchange points, not 1000Basically, 20 commons at 5 stubs each at 191 exchange points each =3,820 exchange points per 100 stubs
