What Happened To Catcher's Throw Meter When Someone Steals?

We can all agree that whenever someone tried to steal, we would all hear an audible yelling "runner" letting us know as soon as he takes off.

We would then hit the throw button before the catcher even caught the pitch to 'pre-start' the throwing meter which would automatically come up as soon as he caught it, then hit the throw button again in the green to throw it down. All of a sudden, it's not allowing me to 'pre-start' the throw. Everytime I try, my catcher just stands there holding onto the ball. It's like I have to hit the throw button now after he catches it just to get the throwing meter started.

Anybody else experiencing this problem?

Couldn’t tell you I don’t get a throw meter anymore.

This is a common problem if you’re using button accuracy. Even though SDS should be answering this and I’ve answered it 5 times. You have to delete your settings and slider save files and remake all of your settings, just like at the beginning of the year. Or delete the game and reinstall it, the choice is yours. It’s not happening to everyone but those are your two and only options to fix the problem.

Only fix I've heard of is deleting game data and reinstalling. Ain't got time for that so I'll just deal with throwing the old way.

After the latest patch its happening very often to me while playing online... And i can see the same for my opponents too! I see other people reporting this so at this point i dont know what to do lol reinstalling the game is going to fix it? Anyone tried?

Im trying against the cpu and everything works fine...so for me its happening only online!

Agreed.

However, if it also fixed "forced pitch over the plate" and "check swinging" issue, it would then be worth it for me. Lol.

Something else I noticed other than never having a problem with the throw meter online before this week, is that I was also never unfortunate enough this year to experience any freeze-offs. I've now had two this week, and both were during attempted steals (once when I was stealing and once when my opponent was) - no idea if there's any relation, could be simple coincidence, but thought I'd mention it.

Is this why no meter comes up for me or anything? I literally cant throw anybody put stealing playing online!

Oh man this was frustrating thought it was just me and my opponent was exploiting it like a mofo.

I tried to reinstall the game but its still going on online...the catcher meter wont pop up like before its happening to a lot of people so hopefully they can look into this
